“I very rarely leave reviews but Ishq was exceptional. If you are looking for an alternative to big, chain hotels this small, intimate property is perfect. Beautiful rooms and spaces with personal service. Food exceptional. Thanks Darshana.”

“I spent 4 nights in the hotel. The service was superb and the facilities are amazing.”

“La habitación está bien”

“Impossible to get breakfast, staff incompetent and unhelpful”

“we stayed 3 nights in room 11. it s a small guest house with basic but comfortable rooms . good location walking distance from gangaramaya temple, good breakfast , excellent dinner and extremely kind and helpfull staff. only con: the tuk tuk guy who waits just off the hotel gate . he asks double or triple price for every trip you might be interested in. just ignore him and walk 3 minutes to the main road where metered tuk are available”

“I have travelled the World extensively, and this property is possibly my favourite of any I have stayed in. It maintains old world colonial character and charm, with its very high standards, excellent staff, and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We stayed 8 years ago and have been planning g a return since. We are however devastated to hear that the hotel will close at the end of its current lease in August 2027, so this was likely to be our last ever visit.”

“スリランカ国立博物館から徒歩5分程の立地です。メイン通りから一本入った所にあるため、少し見つけにくいのでご注意を。建物内はクラシックな感じで、手入れされていて清潔でした。シャワーの温度、水量も十分。プールはコンパクトですが綺麗に保たれており、楽しめました。朝食も美味しかったです。とても満足のいく滞在でした！”

It's probably now my joint favourite alongside the Hilton Colombo Residences. It is superior to the Shangri-La (where the rooms are shoeboxes and the feeling is sterile) and Mt Lavinia (which seems too obsequious to a colonial past!). The lobby area is great and I felt like spending a lot of time there. The vibe feels more high end Sri...

“Precioso hotel decorado de manera exquisita, nuevo (es del 2024), la atención magnífica, la cena buffet genial, un hotelazo que merece la pena conocer. Es un lujazo acabar el viaje de Sri Lanka en ese hotel. Altisimamente recomendable. ”

“Its a sound enough hotel for the business traveler but otherwise pretty ordinary. It's in a shabby part of town with no local ameities or attractions worth the bother. The bar is dismal and the restaurant poor. The staff do a good job of making the best of the little they have to wotk with.”

“Would recommend. Good location. Nice and quiet area. Room was very clean. Nice hotel overall”
