“We had a great stay here - the home was clean, nicely decorated, the kitchen was very well stocked and great access to the river. The teens loved being able to step right outside and fish. Good fishing too! We had rainy weather yet that didn't stop us from having a great time. Dan is excellent and timely with his communications too. Hope to return here this summer!”

“Quiet area great for families. Loved the outdoor space. We brought 2 large dogs and they had a safe place to enjoy without escaping. The fire pit was nice and the shed with the beach chairs and different sized bikes was awesome. The inside was clean and had nice touches. The golf cart rentals and restaurants were very convenient.”

Just sitting outside watching the river was so "Zen". I had one of the most restful vacations ever. I was there for a little over two weeks and I would have stayed longer if I could have, Kim, the host, was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying at this beautiful property again.”

“This cottage was right on the main road in Colonial Beach. It was very clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. The outdoor area was relaxing and had a fire pit and grill. The location was close to everything in town. You could walk to the beach and many stores and restaurants. We love the area and hope to return soon!”

“We had a family vacation and this home was absolutely perfect for the group (12 people (9 adults, 3 kids)) stay for a long weekend. There was plenty of space for the group to gather together between the large family room/kitchen space and backyard. In addition, it is located right across the street from an jce cream shop- which was truly the cherry on top. Highly recommend this home for your family/friends getaway!”

“Nice updated small house, great location on the water. Great bird watching...saw many bluebirds and eagles in addition to many water birds. Hot tub was great. Note that road to house is gravel and hilly...not good if you have a low clearance car such as a corvette. Our sedan handled it no problem.”

We found a waterfront Mexican restaurant nearby and walked to the winery next door. It’s very clean and the host is very responsive if you have any questions.
