The location was perfect for us. However, when we arrived it was warm inside. There was a sign taped over the thermostat, "Do Not Touch." The A/C was turned off. The owner left a message in the kitchen that read, "Please do not touch. It's set where needed." I texted the owner, and advised the A/C was turned off and asked I to turn it on. He replied, "Nobody knows how to use it. It's expensive. People ruin everything." I texted and advised it was very warm inside and would like to turn it on. The property was advertised to have A/C, and we were paying a lot of money to stay there. He replied, "Please do not turn it on. …take advantage of the night air." and "Tomorrow, I will come put a lock on it" There is no cable- Not a huge deal for us, but the property is advertised as having cable TV. There is no Internet/WIFI as advertised. I had planned on doing some work while in town. The owner left router and password information, but no network existed. The place wasn't clean. One bathroom shower didn't drain, which caused four of us to share a single bathroom. We found two empty water bottles and trash under the bed. There were tiny bits of broken glass on the floor throughout the property.
There is a light switch that stops the freezer door from opening. We could not open the freezer enough to store a bag of ice. The street-side windows in the Master bed and bath did not have curtains. There was no easy way to stop anyone nearby from seeing inside.
