This place was ok. Clean but smaller. Beds were very comfortable. Location was great- not far from a number of attractions. Steps to the basement are dangerous, so we didn’t go down there much.

Carbon Monoxide, Oh My!

When we first arrived at the charming cabin at the foothills of the mountain, we were pleased with the overall aesthetic and feel of the cabin, especially for the price point. Yes, there were issues: the hot tub was dirty (cloudy water, debris, etc.), the gas stovetop was not adequately ventilated, and the small kitchen quickly filled with gas when cooking, there was a funky odor throughout the house (we will get to that later) especially in upstairs some of the games were missing pieces, and the Nintendo Switch had a broken controller...ALL NO BIG DEAL BREAKERS.It was not until we had settled in that the issues began to occur. On night one, the smoke/carbon monoxide alarm sounded a single time; no smoke, no fire, and we didn't report it thinking it may have been a fluke. On night three, the same smoke/carbon monoxide alarm went off twice that night; more alarmed this time, as the temperature in the mountains had cooled and the furnace had kicked on earlier, I called Hoste, the property management company, to report the issue. Somehow, they misunderstood my father explaining the alarm going off with the furnace duct work making noise, and tried to dismiss our concerns as nonissues.Concerned for the well-being of my family, I had children staying in the basement and my elderly parents staying upstairs. I insisted that Hoste, the third-party management company, send a technician out to check on the property.

Perfect house for Thanksgiving holiday

We had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed, was very clean, and exactly what you see in the pictures. I have a few things I always check on when I arrive- coffee filters, ice maker, laundry detergent and toilet paper - to make sure I don't need to make a run to the store, and this house was fully stocked and more! No need to run to the store for our 4 night stay. The beds and couches were very comfortable and we had a blast hanging out in the downstairs game room every night. The hot tub was a huge hit as well. It was a perfect way to relax every night. The location is great - a quiet neighborhood that is centrally located and an easy drive to all of the nearby attractions, as well as a really great restaurant 5 minutes away that we went to twice. We didn't have any issues, a very good thing, so we never had a need to reach out to the host during our stay. If we come back to Colorado Springs, we'd love to stay at this house again.

Cute, fun and close to more fun

This spot was perfect for our family's celebration. The location was ideal, as it was convenient to all the attractions we wanted to explore. This made it easy for us to enjoy various activities without the hassle of long commutes. The house itself was cute, clean and accommodating. One of the highlights was the game room, and we loved the hot tub, which was a wonderful way to relax after a day outside. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

USAFA parents weekend getaway

Our family traveled to the area for our son’s parents weekend. Overall our stay was very nice with a few inconveniences. The top step on the front porch is loose so you must be very careful going up or down and avoid stepping on that area. Our adult daughter fell down the stairs inside the home by missing the first step on the top- it is more narrow than the other stairs. Also, the hot tub wasn’t clean. The house is nicely decorated and overall clean and well equipped.

Mountain Gem…perfect for a large family/group gathering!

We had a wonderful weekend away in Chipita Park with our 5 adult kids. This property is very inviting and was clean and smelled great upon arrival. It’s beautifully decorated. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The beds were very comfortable. We used all the property amenities…the hot tub, fire pit, ping pong table, etc!! Lots of fun! We enjoyed a lot of time on the large deck visiting and enjoying being out in nature. Communication with the host was great and check in and check out instructions were made simple. We would definitely visit again!

Great family get away!

We planned a family vacation for my parents, siblings, and our spouses/kid. My nephew is 1.5 and was never without something to do. He loved the air hockey table, ping pong, and corn hole. We loved sitting and relaxing on the front porch. It was such a beautiful view and amazing atmosphere. Would stay again and would highly recommend! Check in was super easy and communication from the host was very appreciated and helpful.

Amazing little Mountain stay

Perfect little mountain get away. We had a girls reunion trip which we felt this place was perfect plenty of beds the hot tub was amazing - the game area was so fun. Was just enough seclusion but close enough to get to shops and activities. We truly had a great stay

Beautiful home, some fixes needed.

It is a nice location, comfortable, and is upgraded nicely. Very responsive hosts. A couple fixes needed as the microwave was broken and the vents in two of the rooms were rattling very loudly when the heat was on. They sent someone promptly but were unfortunately unable to fix either until after our stay. The only thing I would caution is the first step going to the basement is half normal width. Two of the people staying fell down the stairs when there foot slipped off this step.

Precious, cozy home that exceeded expectations

Located in a beautiful valley surrounded by tree covered mountains. Lovely, easily walkable, quiet residential area. Beautifully renovated home- modern updates, lots of unique touches & textures in the decor. Great kitchen with a large farmhouse sink, nice granite counters, amazing gas stove & cooktop. Essentials stocked in the pantry- seasonings, coffee & teas, cookware, utensils & cutlery. Dishwasher was not functioning, however. The home was very clean, well insulated, & cozy. Bedrooms had hotel quality sheets, layered above and below a comforter on each bed. Abundant amount of pillows, comfortable mattresses. Updated bath fixtures in all bathrooms,beautiful light fixtures throughout the home. Remote-controlled fire place/heater in living room. Large Roku TV’s in every bedroom as well as in the game room and living room. Plenty of towels and extra linens. Nice stainless steel washer & dryer in the game room. Layout was great- 2 bedrooms upstairs & 2 on lower lever near the game room, each with clean, new carpeting and ample closet space. The game room/family space had great entertainment (for a single couple or a family- our 10, 16, & 23 yr olds all loved it.) A great variety of games for when we wanted to stay in. Backyard was inviting- white lights strung up over the space, a hot tub, and back seating area around the fire pit, all in a private, sunken area. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else if we’re able to return to Colorado- we really loved this place.
