Private Cottage - Close to Pikes Peak - Creekside

  • Enjoy a picturesque, quiet mountain retreat -- for a romantic weekend or a family getaway.

    Leave the city behind and listen to the beautiful sounds of Fountain Creek rushing through the property just 20 feet from your front door. At the base of the the Pikes Peak Mountain range, this charming cabin will be your oasis in the mountains.
    The space
    All you can ask for in a mountain retreat. Accessible main floor living, this home has a stone fireplace (gas) in the living room, full kitchen (with all amenities) and dining area, 2 queen bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

    Amenities include strong and stable WiFi, Cable-TV with Amazon-FireStick with NetFlix, Alexa music system and local phone for emergencies.
    Guest access
    Full access to 2-acre property and creek with 360 degree mountain views including Waldo Canyon and the foothills of Pikes Peak. You'll have access to the entire 2-acre space located in a quiet mountain neighborhood.
    Other things to note
    Your dogs are welcome, but you must notify host of breed and the number of dogs that will be accompanying your stay (max 2 dogs). There will be an additional $25 cleaning fee per dog. We love dogs, but they are not allowed on any furniture, and owners must pick up after their pet. Cats are not allowed.

    Lastly the home has a septic, so please refrain from flushing anything besides toilet paper and normal stuff down the drain. And we’re on city water, so the water is fresh and tastes good.

This was great maintain cottage and certainly a better experience than a hotel or motel. It is in a nice location, but the road to the place might get your attention. That said... the road to the place is very quiet and private. The place is close to a LOT of interesting sights- like the entrance to Pike Peaks, A few miles from The Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellers and Manitou Springs (lot of shopping). Everything worked as expected in the house. A Walmart is within 5 miles for provisions like food and gas. We picked up pizza from Madhatters. It was very good AND they have a really nice outdoor patio facing the mountain. We would consider staying here again.

This was a great place to stay during our trip to Colorado. Check-in was super easy and the house was warm and inviting. It is nestled in a quant little area with a creek that you can hear while outside. We were lucky to find this place since we wanted to bring our dog with us. He enjoyed the long walks around the area and seeing all of the local wildlife (mostly the deer that come super close to the house). The host was very helpful.

Excellent property, very cozy. The location was excellent and very close to everything including Garden of the Gods and Pike's Peak. It was off a nice quiet stretch of road for morning walks with the dogs. We couldn't have been happier.

What a cute little cabin! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and 2 craft beers to start our evening. We didn’t end up drinking the wine, but we did enjoy the craft beers. Beds were very comfortable. The house was stocked with all the essentials! Even coffee and filters! Thank you! I will definitely be keeping this on my favorite list as I am in the Co Springs area often!

We enjoyed our stay at the little cottage and it wasn’t to far from places and the communication from the property manager was great. They also sent us extra info on some things we asked about that really helped us.

The cottage was perfect location for a wedding we were attending. Great listing for hikes and restaurants close by in the cabin reference guide. WiFi was very helpful for our stay.

The fireplace was warm. The only thing the kitchen did not supply was a baking sheet. Went to make cookies and there was nothing to bake rhem on..
