Absolutely do not book a property with Housepitality - period. They cancelled our booking THE DAY we arrived in Columbus and did not call a second before to let us know what was happening. They SENT ME AN EMAIL to say there was an issue with the property. THERE WASN'T EVEN ANY FURNITURE IN THE PROPERTY - so this was definitely an issue that had been ongoing and should have been communicated to be ahead of time. Someone tried to offer "upgrading" us to a bigger property - again over email - but then immediately said that property had JUST been booked. Unlikely. I believe they Housepitality had no intentions of ever fulfilling my booking and did not let me know until 6pm the night I was in Columbus - leaving me with nowhere to stay. I suggest Expedia take down all listing associated with their business altogether.
