The property is advertised as an apartment over a funeral home, but it would be more accurate to say that it is an apartment in a funeral home. Partly this is because the space feels commercial with drop ceilings, sterile decor and the living room is also a wake room complete with coffin handling elevator and casket table, but the main thing is there is no barrier at all between the apartment and the funeral home (ie no locking door) so anyone in the funeral home can walk right into the apartment. We honestly were not worried about the owner or staff, but how can they vouch for everyone that enters their space for a funeral?
Only other complaint was a lack of closet space. The one in the bedroom was full of stuff. They did provide a hat rack to hang things on.
The bed was comfortable. The kitchen well stocked.
The area is rural and quiet, but still within 15-20 minutes of most of the Lancaster sights.
