This is the place. Pre christmas. We had a great time. Mr o possum waddled across the leaves at about 1am for breakfast. A bobcat growl,while sitting next to the fire can spook you. The hot tub was relaxing. We enjoyed the local winery. Its always hard to depart from peace.

Everything was exactly as described, and honestly even better than we expected. From the moment we arrived, the quiet hit us, the kind of deep, uninterrupted silence you only get when you’re truly away from everything. That alone made the trip worth it.The hot tub was a highlight. Sitting in the warm water with the cold air around us, watching the creek flow by, was incredibly relaxing. It felt like our own private little retreat.The cabin itself was cozy, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. You can tell the owners put real care into making it feel welcoming. What we loved most was the remoteness. There wasn’t anyone around, no traffic noise, no distractions. Just quiet woods, running water, and space to breathe. It’s the kind of place that forces you to slow down in the best possible way.This is absolutely a spot you could come back to in any season, whether you need a quiet weekend, a reset from everyday busyness, or just a peaceful place to think. We left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already talking about our next trip back.

Contemplation cabin was amazing! It was very secluded, peaceful and serene. The cabin was well stocked for any needs and comfortable. We spent a lot of time at the river and even saw an Eagle fly by. The owners were great with communication, especially with the directions to get there, which was definitely needed, since GPS wasn't much help at a certain point. We highly recommend a stay here if you're looking for beauty, seclusion and peace!

This is always a lovely spot to disconnect with the family and do some swimming, fishing, and soaking up the sun. All necessities and even some extras are provided. Bring your food for the stay and relax.

Check in was easy. Kitchen has all the basic needs for cooking. Has measuring cups, plates, cups, bowls, waffle maker, mini George Foreman grill, baking sheet, strainer, pots and ice trays. Kitchen had some basic staples like flour, sugar, oil and condiments. It had extra trash bags/dish soap. Bathroom is big and clean. Shower head is a “rain” style. Hot water was amazing. Had a stacked washer/dryer that worked fine. Came with extra toilet paper, shampoo, conditions and two bubble bath scents. The towels that were provided were big and fluffy. Bedroom 1 has a closet with cleaning items and a fan. Dresser is large. Bed is a little on the small side for us and is very soft. It is extremely difficult to get in and out of it when you sleep on the wall side. Bedding was nice. Bedroom 2 has slim twin bunk beds and the kids had no complaints. Bedding was provided. games are stored under the bunk bed.Living area was stocked with dvds. Netflix played fine with very little to no loading. Couch was comfy and pulled out to be a sleeper sofa. We didn’t use it. Outside was clean and comfortable. They had roasting sticks for marshmallows and hotdogs. Lots of fire wood is provided. There was some fire starters for us to use. There were also some plastic tubes to float on. Hot tub was nice. Worked as it should. Over all 10/10 Kids even found a couple great cliffs to jump from

Slice of heaven

The cabin is DEEP in the woods and on a beautiful stretch of the river! It was amazing! You definitely want to follow the directions and go to Walmart first, then drive to the cabin from there. By the end of the trip, we had the route down!The cabin was perfect for my husband and I plus our two boys (ages 11 and 9). It was clean and stocked with all the necessities plus extras like condiments for food, a keurig and smores! The river kept the kids and ourselves busy, relaxing and adventuring. We had a lot of rain on our trip and still had enjoyed the tranquility of the location. If you like back in the woods, beautiful water and seclusion, this place is for you! 100/10 recommend!

Gorgeous retreat

This lovely cabin a short walk from the Jack’s Fork was a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing in the area. The interior is gorgeous and so comfortable, we were well rested for our float trip the next day. I would like to go back myself sometime just for the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Contemplation Cabin is an apt name for this lovely property. The host was BEYOND accompdating. 15/10 stars. We had another couple originally going with us and they changed their parameters 6 or 7 times. Each flex, Logan was patient and worked with us. Cannot rate them highly enough. Thank you so much.

Perfect getaway for family connection

We went to the cabin with expectations of severely minimized phone usage so that we could just connect as a family. The cabin is nestled away from everything (and everyone), yet you can stay as connected as you want (WiFi in cabin). The river was nice and low (and clear) when we first arrived and we explored the area as we hunted for interesting rocks to bring home. It rained each day and overnight the river changed significantly. My son brought his drone and we got really great before and after aerial shots of the river right from our cabin porch. It was fascinating.The cabin was clean and well cared for and was stocked with everything you need to keep your stay cozy, including lots of dry firewood. Each morning I sat with a hot cup of coffee on the porch (while it rained) and each night we ended with a fire outside (with s’mores, of course). This was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway for our family. We are so thankful for our stay and for the highly attentive hosts.

Weekend Getaway

My husband, dog and I stayed here for Valentine’s day weekend. We absolutely loved the property and want to book another visit ASAP! It snowed while we visited, so we enjoyed our view of the water from the hot tub. We did check out the Jack’s Fork River and loved that we could fish right there on our own gravel bar. Can’t wait to come back when it is warm so we can swim and bring our kayak to really explore the river. The communication and hospitality was top notch.
