“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. “Lovely hotel however extremely hot in the room, although there was a fan in the room thus wasn’t powerful enough to cool the room. Breakfast was of good quality however extremely slow with just one member of staff working”

“Nice location in quiet village which was very handy for silverstone park & ride. Plenty of parking. Nice room with hotel overall having an oldy world feel. Staff were very friendly accommodating & helpful. Breakfast was included freshly cooked with good range of choices. Evening meal also very nice, good range, freshly cooked & reasonably priced although did take quite a while to arrive but was worth it. “The staff were lovely and couldn't have been better. Our room had a bathroom across the hall which opened with a key. A little strange and not great for a 3am wee. We ate here and the food was ok.”
