Contrasting nicely with the crisp, clean lines of the beige façade, landscaped flower beds and wide gravel-edged pathway sit to the front, silvery green olive trees, wild shrubs and natural countryside to the rear. Strategically positioned to one side of the house to maximise both sunshine and privacy, a part-decked sun terrace fringes the longer than average private pool.
Internally there is an inviting sense of space. Styling is smart, modern and appealingly minimalist with numerous contemporary touches in evidence, some subtle, some more obvious. Walls of soft pastel shades and cooling whitewash provide the ideal backdrop for an attractive, eclectic variety of colourful prints and objets d’art. Other features include a galleried landing, floors of wood and tile, a limed oak ceiling in one room and carefully coordinated fabrics adorning the comfortable soft furnishings.
Of particular appeal to larger families or perhaps a group of friends looking to holiday together, two independent staircases enhance privacy by giving an equal left/right distinction to the first floor, a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms ensuring an even distribution of the sleeping accommodation and en suite facilities.
Lapped by tempting, translucent waters the gorgeous north east corner of Corfu is one of the most appealing coastlines on the island. Widely celebrated for its superb choice of sandy, family-friendly beaches (many awarded a coveted Blue Flag for quality and cleanliness) there is a superb selection to choose from within easy distance of Olivia; to the west you will find Acharavi (1.5km), Roda (1.5km) and Astrakeri (4km); to the east Almyros (3.5km), Agios Spyridon (7km) and Apraos (7.5km). Most have beachside tavernas/bars and offer seasonal watersports such as pedalos, banana boat rides and paragliding. Within walking distance you will find several amenites, including a green grocers (1km) for your local fresh produce, and a mini-market (1.1km), while the nearest taverna is a 15 minute walk way (1.2km).
A great range of tavernas as well as comprehensive amenities are all within a short distance at Roda (1.5km) and Acharavi (1.5km). Boat and bicycle hire are also readily available and the local Acharavi folklore museum offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into Corfu’s vibrant history.
The twin bedrooms on the ground floor, plus the new (2027 onwards) bedroom on the lower level, can be placed together and prepared as a double on request – please ask at time of booking. Please note as from 2027 the property can accommodate up to 10 guests. The fifth bedroom has external access only and is not suitable for young children. In combination with nearby sister property Stefania or Filio, Olivia would be a great choice for larger families or a group of friends wishing to holiday together whilst retaining individual space and privacy.
