The Houst third party rental management was terrible from wrong check in instructions to wrong parking spot number to sending someone into the apartment during our stay without informing us first. When we couldn't get into the apartment (after having landed from an int'l flight exhausted) we tried calling the number provided -- was a wrong number. Found another number, called that -- we got through to a representative in the Philippines. I very much hope the owner and VRBO considers third party rental services in listing. This was a terrible experience considering the price. Location was great if you want to be close to city center activity, everything walking distance. Expensive and lovely apartment, but the pans/dishes/cooking equipment did not reflect the cost. No colander so pasta became difficult to manage, no coffee maker or French press. Only two towels for two of us for one week's stay. When I contacted Houst to deliver two more towels, they said no and we should just wash our two towels to have fresh towels. Not what I expected to hear considering the challenges we had getting into the apartment due to incorrect instructions and considering the cost of the rental. I hope the owner, for the sake of the property rental, considers another service provider in renting the property.
