Anniversary Stay

Our trip was good. The apartment was very clean, spacious, the only drawback is the amount of supplies that was provided. Make sure you bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher pods and dish liquid. There is not enough for a week stay.

Property was hard to find since they didnt give us the building number. Once found it the porch had spiders and webs all over the front porch. Inside the floors had dust and dirt, the bed sheets looked used and unwashed since last visitors and we had no broom or mop to clean it, we reached out the first day for a broom and was told somebody would bring one but they never arrived. We spent most of our time here cleaning. We had to purchase a mop and floor cleaning solution and the water was BLACK! There was black mold in the showers and the kitchen sink. The couch was filthy had to put a bed sheet over it to use it, had to wash all the bed sheets, and to top it all off the frint door would not lock from the outside for a full day so we couldnt leave. When notified owners they did nothing, we just asked for one extra night free of charge for the issues but they only gave a discount. This did not seem fair at all, nobody should need to spend there vacation cleaning.

This was the perfect quiet getaway. It was just me, my wife, and our 15 year old daughter. The cottage had plenty of space and a great kitchen to cook anything you need. There are beaches everywhere and plenty of shopping and food options.

The property was very nice. My only complaint is that it wasn’t very clean, especially in the kitchen. The bedding didn’t seem very clean either. I suggest using all white linens on the bed instead of colored quilts that can’t be bleached. The quilts seemed dirty and the sheets were a cheap quality. Areas of the kitchen were filthy. They also should have had a couple extra garbage bags, more toilet paper and paper towels, kitchen towels, etc. Almost forgot, the loft bed in the second bedroom was absolutely filthy and could not be used without completely removing the mattress. There was dirt all around the mattress, the mattress cover hadn’t been cleaned or changed ever, I bet. There was an old, used band aid on the floor of the loft. Really gross but we didn’t need it fortunately. This place is so cute and had nice furnishings and decor. It’s just so sad that areas are being neglected by the cleaning service. I would suggest talking to them or hiring someone else to clean because otherwise this place would have gotten 5 stars.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and well equipped. We appreciated the small samples of laundry pods, dishwashing liquid, spices, and olive oil. Very convenient for us after a long day of driving. The location was great and close to the beach and grocery store. The swimming pool was nice. I will recommend to friends and family.

Very cute, nice decor, AC worked great, all appliances and TV up to date, beds were comfy, shower and water pressure great. .45 walk to the beach. Nice community. Close to food and dining. Would stay here again

There was old chewed gum in the closet. Washer didn’t work. No curtains in the bedrooms so it’s very bright early on. Had to leave two days early.

Liked: clean and comfortable Disliked: 1- difficult to communicate with, confusing online booking. I accidentally booked two separate units instead of two rooms. We never used the second unit. Yes, this was mostly my fault, so do I expect a refund for the unused unit? No. But a refund would be a nice gesture on their part. 2- we didn’t receive “Corolla Light” bracelets, which would have given us access to the really cool sports center next door.

Great location (2 mins from water sports, put putt golf, 5 mins from grocery store and tons of great restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the beach). The unit was lovely - modern with new high end appliances and contained high end cookware and every modern appliance needed to make me feel like I was home. We cooked most days ( healthier than eating out every meal) and it was a perfect oasis. On site pool was also fantastic. Having a washer dryer in unit made it easy to wash swim clothes etc since we were in the water almost every day.

Did a long weekend at the property. It's relatively new (2 years) and pretty modern. Our unit was clean, everything in good condition, well furnished with nice grade fixtures (not builder grade), and stocked with all the kitchen and living essentials. Entry is via keypad only (no on-site staff). There is a nice looking but small pool on property. Within walking distance to Sturgeon public beach access (10 minutes), 2 1/2 miles to Food Lion, a farm market and other shops and about 4 miles to Harris Teeter. North Beach Water Sports is about an 8-10 minute walk north. Good location overall with several things nearby that don't require a car which is nice as traffic in Corolla can be quite bad.

I would highly recommend this property. It was well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were wonderful The decor was adorable and perfect for the beach area. There are a couple beaches within walking distance or you can drive and there is free parking. There are also grocery stores and restaurants within a short drive from the condo, including Duck Donuts. We enjoyed our stay very much.
