Welcome to Sands of Time — one of the finest luxury vacation rentals on the 4x4 beaches of Carova Beach, Northern Outer Banks, North Carolina. This spectacular 6-bedroom, 3,573 square foot oceanfront home was designed with one thing in mind: giving your group everything they could possibly want for the ultimate beach vacation. Panoramic ocean views, a private pool with tiki bar, two arcade game consoles, a ships watch loft, private boardwalk to the beach, and so much more await you at Sands of Time.
A 4-wheel drive vehicle is required to reach Sands of Time — located approximately 9.3 miles up the 4x4 beach in Carova, this is one of the most secluded and coveted stretches of the Northern Outer Banks. No traffic, no crowds, just wide open Atlantic shoreline, star-filled skies, and the famous Corolla wild horses roaming freely nearby.
The Top Level — Views & Gathering Spaces
The reverse floor plan top level of Sands of Time is nothing short of spectacular. The enormous gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and a huge island seats a crowd of cheering bystanders while multiple chefs work their magic. The dining area seats 10 and connects to a sunroom perfect for overflow dining, puzzles, or games. The great room boasts panoramic ocean views and a massive seating area with endless entertainment options.
The crown jewel of this level is the ships watch — a wonderfully oversized loft lounge perched above the great room with invitation to afternoon naps, quiet conversation, or simply soaking in the view. The king master suite just off the living room features an iLE Sleep Number bed, private deck access, jetted tub, and satellite smart TV.
The Second Level — Bedroom Suites
The second level offers four beautifully appointed bedrooms with fresh wood flooring throughout. Two king master suites each have private baths, while two additional bedrooms — a king and a queen with trundle — share a hallway bath. A laundry room and exercise room round out this level. Four of the six bedrooms have direct oceanfront deck access.
The First Level — Game Room & Entertainment
The entry level is pure entertainment. The game room features a pool table, the legendary Legends 3 arcade console with 130 games, and the Multicade Arcade Legends Game — plus a kitchenette with full-sized refrigerator, commercial ice maker, and microwave. A full bath, full-sized sleeper sofa, and a bunk room with two queens in bunk form complete this level.
Outside — Tiki Bar & Pool
The outdoor spaces at Sands of Time are in a class of their own. The huge private pool and hot tub (open the entire rental season) are surrounded by a fully equipped tiki bar with full-sized refrigerator, hot and cold sink, bar stools, and a roof deck. A ping pong table, gas and charcoal BBQ grill area with hot/cold sink, outdoor shower, and beach chairs round out the outdoor amenities. A private boardwalk leads directly to the beach, with an oceanfront pergola for shaded relaxation at the water's edge.
Pets Welcome
Sands of Time welcomes up to two dogs (restrictions on age, weight, and breed apply — no exceptions). A per-pet fee and refundable security deposit are required. No cats please.
Saturday check-in. Bed and bath linens provided. No smoking. No graduation groups or events. Free unlimited parking at the house. Two beach parking passes included.
