Very relaxing stay

This place was fantastic overall! It was incredibly spacious and well-appointed, making it perfect for a comfortable getaway. The private pool and hot tub were definite highlights—we spent a lot of time relaxing there. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials for cooking, and the living area had cozy seating and a large TV for movie nights. We also appreciated the fast Wi-Fi, and thoughtful touches throughout the home. I’d absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay again!

Fantastic stay

Loved our first time in OBX, and the house was awesome. All the amenities were included. We paid for the pool to be heated while we stayed and it was worth it. The only downside, is the driveway. If you have to walk a dog it can be tough because of the grade. We will definitely come back.

Great two weeks in Monterey Shores

My family and I spent two weeks in the house. Check-in was easy and communication with the host prior-to and during the stay was great. The house was very new with excellent air conditioning, good water pressure, a well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds to sleep in. The pool was great for cooling off post-beach and the hot tub was brand new for the one or two cool nights we got. The house was exceptionally clean and our host arranged a mid-stay clean for us as well. The house is only a block from the clubhouse (gym, pickleball / tennis, community pool) and a sound side public dock for great sunsets. Walk to Bonito beach access was very easy and there is a big parking lot there as well in case you need to drive. If I had to point out anything it would that there's only one common area on the third floor (i.e. no downstairs room w pool or foosball table) and the house has a very steep driveway - our older parents spent most of their time on the third floor bc it was just a bit too hard to go up and down the stairs / driveway more frequently. All in all, one of the better houses we've stayed at and would do so again.

So relaxing!

The property is in a cute neighborhood, not far from the Currituck lighthouse and 4x4 beach. The pool was perfect for our family, as was the size of the house. The screened porch area was a bonus that I absolutely loved enjoying during the day and in the evenings! The house is prepared with basic amenities to get your stay started (many of ours lasted the entire stay) and the checkout process was very low maintenance. Areca was incredible to communicate with and so kind through the entire process. We will definitely be booking with her again!

Wonderful

Spent a few days here with my husband and our 3 boys, ages 19, 13, & 9. It was clean, spacious, relaxing, and so much fun!! We rode the beach in our truck looking for horses, played putt putt at 2 different locations, spent a lot of time in the pool, played basketball on the clubhouse court (we brought our own), relaxed one night in the hot tub, ate at Bernie's which was decent, Lighthouse Bagels which was delicious, and North Banks which was amazing. But honestly, just being there with my guys and having the option to do nothing was the best part!

Great stay in Corolla

This was our third year to stay in Corolla, and we all agreed that this was our favorite house of the three. The location is very good for sunsets, being so close to the bay and a pier, although I wish it were just a tad closer to the beach. Beach access is very easy though, with a parking lot very near. The house seems to have been recently refurbished and was nicely appointed. The kitchen is sizeable and well stocked. My only criticism was that the sectional in the den would only seat 6 people in a squeeze. The adults and kids enjoyed the pool, which was just the right size. The owner might consider adding an umbrella to the outdoor table, for those us with fair skin. All in all, it was an excellent stay and conveniently located to the grocery and restaurants.

Family Vacation July 2023

Great house! The kitchen was fully stocked--the best I've seen. Pool was wonderful and the perfect temperature. Short walk to the beach, even shorter to the clubhouse amenities. We had to rent baby/toddler supplies; i.e., crib, high chair, gates. Suggestion for the property manager/owner--it would have been nice to have more than 1 bath towel per person. Didn't ruin our trip though. Thank you!!

Accommodating and thoughtful Property Manager

I appreciated that the Property Manager got us a new blender right away when I let her know at check-in that the blender wasn't working and that we needed one for food prep. She was very thoughtful.

Expect hiccups during check-in. Listing says beginner supplies- None provided

Cons: - 1) our check-in code didn’t work. Quickly fixed over the phone call with the manager, same thing happened the second day. 2) No mention of steep driveway in property description. We found it difficult to maneuver our F150 with the attached front and back hitches, with out causing damage to driveway. 3) The check-in email mentions beginner cleaning supplies will be provided. We were welcomed with ONE trash bag, NO scrubbing sponge but dishwashing liquid given, NO dishwasher pods but you are expected to start a load before leaving. No laundry detergent provided. No busy family will call the property manager for these items when the nearest grocery store is a 4 min drive. Nevertheless, we found it a hassle to run to the grocery store for all the above mentioned missing items, the simple few essentials, which you come to expect as a given with most rentals these days. This is not a con, but if you have mobility issues, don’t chose this property because the kitchen is on third floor. You have to make multiple trips to haul everything, not to mention walk up super steep driveway if you don’t have room to park in the space provided. Pros: Nice location, great pool, ample beach supplies and pool toys, Nice lay out, bedrooms in three levels with attached bathroom was a great feature. Refrigerator with the water dispenser is a nice touch, which is not common in many rentals.

Anniversary Getaway

The property was fantastic! It was the peaceful getaway we needed for a few days and would have loved to have stayed longer. The house is beautiful and close to everything! My favorite feature was the heated pool! The temperature outside did not feel like end of May but the heated pool was excellent and we spent two days in it! Excellent place and would recommend to anyone!

A Perfect May on Corolla Beach

Our family of six adults and one toddler made our home here for four nights. While it was chilly when we first arrived, the house had everything to make it cozy as we settled into being together for the first time since Christmas. We were able to easily park our three cars in the driveway, had what we needed in the kitchen and found comfortable beds and clean bathrooms throughout the house. It was an easy walk to the playground and to the beach every morning (thanks for providing boogie boards and beach chairs, as well as towels) -- and, yes, it warmed up! -- and we got to enjoy the lovely heated pool twice. We enjoyed having a big table to all sit together and the wrap-around deck/screened porch to chat after the little one went to sleep. It was a great stay at a great house.

Wonderful Stay!

We came into town for a quick two day trip! The house was really clean and felt recently updated. Many beach houses feel and look beat up and abused this one did not feel like that at all. The pool was warm and everything was laid out nicely to make our vacation start right away. The house is located close to the beach and with the parking lot it was easily accessible. The house is also located between two prime areas for shopping, eating, and local attractions. We hope to come back soon… Thank you for a great trip!

Nice time

About 2 blocks from the beach, yet very easy. Walk. House met our needs. Pool was nice, it’s heated. All bathrooms have own baths. Would rent again.

What a wonderful trip!

From booking to checkout the entire process was easy. We have always brought our own sheets & towels yet there was no need this trip. Very fast, easy communication & I appreciate even the owner checking in via text. Wonderful vacation that we all agreed would be perfect again next year! Highly, highly recommend. The house has absolutely everything you will need at an excellent location.

Clean and modern. Great location. Careful not to trip up uneven concrete next to pool area

House was clean and modern. Very steep driveway. Traffic was awful up and down route 12. Took two hours to get to southern shores. Only complaint is uneven ground just outside pool area. One inch step that caused us all to trip. Same in area between kitchen and family room. Needs to have yellow or reflective tape especially the one outside. I felt it was a huge accident waiting to happen! Wouldn’t take a lot to fix. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mattresses, pillows, Sheets towels all excellent quality. Area around house was beautiful.

Great spot for a week at the beach (with kids and dog)!

We stayed here with two kids (3 and 5), the grandparents, and a dog. It was clean and bright. Nice short walk to the beach. Highly recommended!
