Home away from home

Great Vacation Home

The house was more then what i expected. It looked better in person. The pool was perfect and secluded. Everything was clean! The fenced in area was perfect for our dog. Short walk to the beach, overall great area. Cannot wait to stay again!

We discovered the gas grill tank was out of propane. We called and another was delivered within 30 minutes. We were so pleased and grateful that our dinner plans weee saved. Thank you.

Loved our stay at Here Comes The Sun!

We've stayed at this property a number of times over the past few years and it never disappoints! Love the changes the new owners have made to the house! This home is in a great location - a short walk to the beach and very close to restaurants and shopping. The pool is perfect - our kids have so much fun in it after a day at the beach. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a cute and comfy home away from home. The distance from the house to the beach was amazing and the beach was not crowded at all. Loved all the updates that have been made the fact that it was doggie friendly. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The only bad thing was that the rental agency did not have our packet ready for us and we had to wait for an agent to come back to the office to get it for us.

Great Getaway Spot!

Our family really enjoyed this wonderful beach house. It was the perfect size for us and our dog with 3 nicely decorated bedrooms, one with a lovely balcony that provided multiple opportunities to stargaze. The kitchen was stocked with all that you need for cooking and there are lots of choices of seating for your morning coffee or gatherings for meals. The property has mature trees and flowering bushes that provide lovely shade and privacy on the outer perimeter beyond the fence line. The pool and hot tub area was one of our favorite places to relax. There’s lots of space in the carport area and everything you may need for the walk to the beach is provided in the storage room. The management company was very responsive when we noticed a loose step on the back deck. They had someone stop by within an hour to fix it and they followed up to make sure we were satisfied. We will definitely return to this spot for our next beach getaway! We loved this home!

Great property for a small family.

Spent a long weekend here with my husband son, and Labrador. We found the layout and location of the house very convenient. Easy walk to the beach, and right out the backyard and across the street to groceries etc. We are very familiar with this neighborhood, and like the beach in this area a lot. Very nice small pool with this house, nice fenced yard. However, I wouldn’t choose to use a rental company instead of an individual owner again. We stay through VRBO a lot, both in the Outer Banks and elsewhere. We have not done a Vrbo managed by a rental company. It was frankly kind of a hassle. Usually with Vrbo, all communications are electronic, you put through the payment on the website and you’redone, messaging with the owner is sufficient for any questions or issues. In this case, the rental companies needed to send me a contract which I then had to sign and scan and send back like it was 1993. They wanted to talk on the phone. They needed us to stop by the office and pick up a packet when we arrived on the Outer Banks. Then, when we were leaving, they called to ask me when I was returning the keys, although there were no physical keys to the property, just like a code, because again-not 1993. It’s not that the company was unpleasant, but all these extra steps are not why I use Vrbo. I just think it’s fair to know – it’s clear on tap that’s it’s a rental company, but it was not clear to me all these extra steps I would have to take, and I wouldn’t do it again.

Perfect for a small family

Pool is private and 2nd time there was a hot tub. Bathroom was remodeled and kitchen equipment was added to. Fenced in lot for a dog.

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival the floor were not clean in kitchen and dining room, also master bedroom upstairs TV not working and missing Roku remote. Pool was nice accept it had lots out sand and lots of debri, Pool person came and only drop tablets in and left, he left truck running in driveway doing his stay, poor pool service.

We loved the fenced in dog run area! The pool made the trip. It was so nice being able to utilize it whenever we wanted. The walk to the beach was short and manageable. We had to get used to the stairs over the dune, but that seems to be common for OBX. Overall, a truly wonderful home that made our vacation extra special. I would recommend this property, but also want to save it all for ourselves! :)

Perfect Place!

This house is great for a small group. It is a very short walk to the beach; owners provide chairs, etc for the beach. Great pool to lounge by after a day on the sand. Grocery store, ice cream and a couple of small restaurants are a short walk. You can truly park your car and not get back in it all week!

The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes & grocery store & restaurants are across street with crosswalk & light. We only used the downstairs area. Kitchen area is very nice with small sunroom attached & also dining room, so there is a lot of seating for eating. There is a living room with 2 large reclining sofas and a recliner. The downstairs bathroom is attached to bedroom, but can be accessed by living room also. The downstairs bedroom is tight-if you read in bed bring a book light. The upstairs is nice, but we didn’t use. The pool wasn’t open yet. The decks are large & maintained well.

Nice and convenient!

House was recently updated and very clean. Great fenced in yard for dogs. Kitchen was well appointed and had everything necessary to create and serve meals. Pool was very nice as was the outdoor furniture. The decks were nice but the wood is weathered and should were footwear to avoid splinters. Location is convenient to shopping and a couple hundred yards from the beach access. We really enjoyed the property. Listing originally included hot tub but we received notice a month or so before our rental it was no longer on property. Overall it’s a very nice home in a convenient location.

Perfect getaway for our family

We loved this property....it was clean, just the right size for our family of 5 (two parents, one teen, one child and a dog), and the location was perfect (short walk to grocery store and starbucks, even shorter walk to the beach...less then 5 minutes for each.) Our favorite part was the privacy - the pool was tucked back behind the property so no one could walk by and look in, and we didn't hear anything from neighboring houses. It was perfect!!

The Perfect Place

We loved everything about this home! The location along with its amenities could not have been any better! All we really needed to bring were our swimsuits! Looking forward to vacationing here again!
