Nice property great communication

We enjoyed our stay at this property communication from management company was great our Kerig coffee machine was not working they sent a new one over within a few hours and also a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving

Disappointing Stay with Multiple Issues

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ I recently (June 2024) stayed at this unit and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. Upon arrival, it was clear that the unit had not been thoroughly cleaned. There was an abundance of dog hair all over the carpets and bedding. My wife and I spent a considerable amount of time removing dog hair from our belongings, which was not how we envisioned starting our stay. We also encountered issues with the internet. The property management was very relaxed and did not address the problem immediately, which was particularly frustrating as I needed to work. The bed was initially comfortable, but discovering the dog hair made it impossible to sleep comfortably, knowing dogs had been on it. On a positive note, the kitchen was well-stocked with decent appliances and a good amount of silverware. However, the seasoning collection was lacking. Thankfully, we brought our own cast iron skillet and seasonings. The closest supermarket had extremely high prices, so I recommend getting your groceries before arriving at the unit. The pool was a disappointment as well. Although it was clean, It was very shallow, only reaching up to my knees, and I'm over 6 feet tall. The washing machine and dryer were old, with the dryer showing signs of rust. Overall, we felt robbed due to the lack of cleanliness and the intermittent internet. I wish I had chosen another place. Based on our experience, I can only give this unit 1.7 out of 5 stars.

Home away from home

We completely enjoyed our stay! The house was perfect (only 1 bathroom, but we made due), nice and clean and exactly what we needed. The yard was fenced for the dogs and the pool was amazing! We will definitely stay here again!

Great location

The property was nice for the most part. We really liked the convenient location. The pool was nice for cooling off in the evenings. The house was clean when we arrived. However, there was a concerning “soft spot” in the kitchen floor. It is an actual hole in the subfloor that is just covered by the linoleum. The floor needs repair in several places.

Perfect house for family vacation...we will stay here again!

Property was perfect for a family vacation. Location was down the street from all the restaurants and 2 minute drive from the beach! Pool was perfect for cooling off had the perfect outdoor shower to rinse off sand.

June Stay

Great visit to Port A. The property was perfect for my family. The kids loved the pool, the home was fully stocked, and the beds were comfortable. Walking distance to restaurants and not far at all from the beach.

Great location, we had fun

We had a great trip and enjoyed our stay in this property. Great location, and the pool was a nice amenity. We rented a golf cart (highly recommended), so the beach, restaurants, etc. were just a few minutes away. Check in and check out were a breeze. When we had questions about heating the hot tub, they sent a helpful representative over quickly. This is an older home, but it was very clean and nicely decorated. There are a couple of soft spots in the kitchen floor that probably need some attention at some point, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment. We'll be returning to Port A this summer and will likely stay here again.

Cute home was great for us with dogs

The home is cute updated decor, great locale & just nice property. The pool & whirlpool/waterfall was such a great relaxing sound. From this location when outside we could hear the ocean. Nice quiet streets & neighborhood leading to beach. This was our first stay in old town Port A and we really liked it. A great one level home was nice with no stairs to climb. Limitations would be 1 bathroom, but with just 2 of us wasn’t an issue. Would easily return to this home.

GREAT Location, adorable home

Every amenity you could ask for. Full kitchen, with dishes and pots and pans. Best location ever! walk to the beach, walk to town for food. 3 stop signs to the grocery store. the pool was lovely, and just enough. outside grill for the fresh catch, and THE MOST comfortable beds ever! Will definitely book again.

hot tub not a thing

This listing seemed to brag about the brand new hot tub and pool. We were there for 3 nights and the hot tub worked for exactly one of those nights. We NEVER would or ever have spent more than $1600 for 3 days in Port A. But...I was recovering from a back injury so the hot tub was going to be a treat. It was not. Not only was the water temperature that of someones used bath, but there was this spot light that would turn on and off randomly shining right into the hot tub. We thought it was motion triggered at first, but it was really just random. There were no controls available to us for the hot tub or the light. I contacted the management company. The next night the hot tub was actually hot, but the light was still turning on for no reason. My husband had to climb up to the fixture on the garage roof and find a switch. That worked so I was ready to be ok with everything. But... the next night the hot tub was back to being pool temp. I contacted the management company again. Here's the text I received. "Hey Leslee, We apologize about the issues, the owner is well aware of this we can assure you. The system they use is unique than anything we have in our 400 plus other homes and we are trying to get them to use something different. Please understand somethings are out of our control and we sincerely hope you give us another try when you are down here." So, I guess everyone is "aware" of the issues but they are still renting in out siting the hot tub as part of the deal. We won't make this mistake again. I hope anyone considering renting this place is forewarned by this review. Leslee

Newly refurbished, chill little house w/ pool

Loved the house, pool and location! Old Town in Port A is the best location. Close to everything. The house and kitchen is furnished with everything, including a washer and dryer.
