I will begin with positives about this home—location location location! Easy beach access and this beach is nice! Love how cars must drive behind a very wide area to enjoy lots of room for grands to roam without worry of carts and cars! This home was once beautiful but it is tired now! Positive on beach decor and newer paint job, wonderful dw and appliances with a well equipped kitchen—minus all cookware is Teflon and coming off if you worry about that. Could not use the grill for steaks. The third story seating on deck is super cute but all of the paint chips off on clothing and that railing needs secured a bit! Pool was great with nice cleaning service guys—but wear pool shoes as the deck cuts up feet! Country girl here but water roaches and spiders need addressed for sure. Most were on lower level but had a couple of friends on third floor crawling on walls and going into a corner where there is water damage. If you leave beach gear in garage shake it all out as spiders gather in it. This is our first time in this area of Port A so may be a local problem. Again loved walking out of pool and heading straight down to the beach walk that was very nicely constructed!! Did not try out property pool but looked like others enjoyed. If you are looking for a comfy mattress—we used them all and didn’t find one but my husband did love the bunk room hard mattress and also as an escape from the grands. Use of golf cart was GREAT!!!!

The description for this property was very accurate! Walking distance to the beach about 2 minutes. Easy to take golf cart onto beach. Pool in your backyard! Everything you could possibly imagine in the kitchen and we had 12 people! Elevator to get to the 3rd floor for the kitchen and family space was great. The house was beautifully decorated. What a fantastic stay. I would definitely recommend this property.

Everything was great! There were a few items that were kinda a little scary like a cockroach jumping on me in the bathroom at night hee hee but everything was great. It was awesome time we appreciate you letting us stay in your place and if we can do it again we will definitely only problem I had was the golf cart. It needs some heavy maintenance. I couldn’t go more than 1520 miles an hour and the brake was very hard to apply and it was hard to start in the morning, even though it was a little cool, thank you for everything bye bye-bye.

Very nice and plenty of room. Great location with an easy walk to the beach. The pool was a good depth for younger kids and provided a lot of shade. The extra refrigerator in the garage for drinks was very nice. Great communication with the property manager.

Overall I was pretty disappointed in our stay especially because this home accommodated everybody as far as bedrooms and the private pool and for the amount we spent the cleanliness was not up to par. Once we arrived the smell of the home was unpleasant, we were greeted by bugs on all levels of the home. I walked down the hall where all the bedrooms were located and could immediately see mold in all the showers from me just standing in the hallway. The photo of the shower pan was a picture after it was cleaned but the center drain in both showers were full of mold and around the bottom edges of the showers. The air filters were completely dirty, the pool was dirty and the couch on the 3rd main floor was dirty and missing a big piece of leather. The refrigerator smelt like fish and didn’t cool very well the washer smelt really bad. The main master bedroom on the 3rd floor was uncomfortable. Overall the house just felt gross and the first impressions just ruined our excitement especially because we were celebrating my mother-in-law’s birthday. There was also no hand towels in any of the bathrooms which they only left face towels to dry your hands.The house cleaners were sent out that day we arrived to clean the showers and to change the air filters which should have been done properly since we pay a cleaning fee. The pool person didn’t come to clean the pool until the morning we were checking out. The golf cart drove so slow & wouldn’t turn offa guy made fun of us on the road.

Perfect space for multiple families

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was clean and had everything we needed. Location perfectly convenient. Multiple places to hang out so even with 16 people it never felt tight or crowded. Would happily stay again.

Great location

Overall we loved this property. The size and layout fit our friends trip perfectly and the location with the boardwalk to the beach was great for the littles and adults alike. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was fully stocked. The parking situation was a little rough on a holiday weekend, but we made it work. We do have a few suggestions though. The bunkroom on the second floor desperately needs a fan of some sort. There is no airflow and it gets super hot in there. We had to go out and purchase our own floor fan to get through the weekend. Also, the refrigerator seal is broken and the door wouldn't shut properly. This resulted in major condensation and uneven cooling in the refrigerator and could have spoiled all of our food had we not noticed and rigged it shut. Lastly, the pool was very dirty when we arrived and we couldn't use it until management sent someone out to clean it. We understand these houses rent almost non-stop in the summer, but that was not cool considering the amount of money we paid to rent this house on a holiday weekend. Overall, we liked the property.

Luci’s first family beach trip

Our stay was very comfortable, with plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms and wide open spaces. The beach was very accessible. Just a short walk away. The location was ideal. The private pool was a great for closing the day!

Nice house

Nice big house with lots of rooms! Had 10 of us, so we had lots of room, didn’t feel like we were in top of each other. Close to beach, golf cart was nice to ride on beach. Overall we had a good time, only negative was wish it would have been warmer!

Ideal and Immaculate

My family wanted a place to celebrate two of our daughter’s birthday. Grandma and Grandpa came along too. I cannot say enough about how ideal our stay was here. The condition of the house was immaculate and it felt luxurious. The linens were fresh and floors and counters spotless. The bathrooms were freshly cleaned. The view complete with a beautiful sitting area was breathtaking. The location of the property was just right being not too far from the beach to walk and close enough to enjoy the view. The extras were an absolute added bonus and were very appreciated. My father is unable to walk stairs but was able to enjoy every floor of this property because of the elevator. The game room was fun for the kids and the pool was super clean and so much fun as well. We really appreciated the giant golf cart included to use. It was very handy and large enough for the whole family. The appliances all worked great as expected and the AC was very efficient and worked perfectly. I really appreciated the organization of the kitchen and the availability of all the elements needed to prepare a home cooked meal. The communication with the host was quick and clear and one of our personal requests was addressed immediately and granted with kindness. I hope to return to this property again someday. It really was an ideal stay.

I was not happy and I would like for someone to call me or email me

In summary, Day 1 the refrig was making a terrible loud noise. I called mgt right away to report the problem since I had over $1000 worth of food in refrig & freezer. I had 14 people in the house. Thats why I got a BIG house. Maintenance came out. The refrig was about 40 degrees at that point and getting warmer. We were also nearing the end of the day and maint was going home soon. He called his supervisor, and they told him to tell me to go get bags of ice, on my dime, to pay for and fill the refrig with that and "they hope to have repair man out the following day." I then called and said that was not acceptable. I was not going to cool down my food over night with ice. Maintenance brought out a SMALL probably 15 cb ft refrig and placed it in the GARAGE filled it with ice and told me that's all they can do for now. NOT ACCEPTABLE. NO ONE ever called me back. NOT ONE person to see how things were with the smaller refrig. Then we started cooking the next day, the oven to the left of main oven started making loud noise, and not coming on so we were ONLY able to use one oven. Then we go to cook food on the GRILL and the GRILL CATCHES on fire!! It was filled with grease and immediately caught flames and burnt my friend's arm as he was trying to get it started. This grill should be one of the items that's ready for use. There were several large ZERO steering capabilities. Then Sunday, water starting coming out from vent hood onto the stove. Lots of water. Probably the AC

Great Beach Stay!

This house provided great comfort for the whole family. It had all the amemities you could ever need and allowed for space for gatherings as well as individual time.

The elevator and golf cart make the difference here!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: All as described, clean, kitchen well stocked, comfy.For convenience, the elevator is a lifesaver for stocking up on groceries and such... the golf cart included takes the cake for getting supplies and ppl out to the beach!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We go to Port Aransas every year for our annual family vacation. This was our first time using Port A Escapes and staying in the House Of Views, we stayed for 5 days. We were very impressed with the house. Very clean, kitchen is FULLY stocked with cookware and utensils, plenty of space, awesome view of the ocean and a great pool. Our only complaint is the AC would not keep the 1st and 2nd floor cool. The unit was set to 74 but couldnt get the lower levels below 80 degrees. Other than that great house. We will be booking again next year.

Work fishing trip

We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay this past weekend in port Aransas. The house was beautiful and decorated so nicely. The kitchen was fully equipped with the cooking utensils we needed for hosting our clients at a work fishing trip. The only downside of the property was that the pool was not cleaned the entire time we were there. I called multiple times to get someone out and no one ever showed up. Overall a great house!

Great stay

This home accommodates a large group with lots of great amenities. It is a beautiful rental just steps away from the beach. We loved our stay.

Perfect Family Fun

Great location but some issues

Reviewer Comments: Pros: location is great, easy beach access, golf cart was very convenient and added value, management was responsive when AC was not working upon arrival and when gas grill ran out of propane during meal prep.Cons: wifi is weak so wifi enabled TVs were always buffering so they essentially didn't work. air hockey table was unusable because one paddle was broken. pool isn't heated so spring weather made it unpleasant to use during our visit. lots of clutter/ too much decor for a rental, we needed more tabletop/ counter space and less decor.Notes: The room with 4 twins is really just 3 because pulling out the trundle would leave no floor space and make it impossible to open or close the door.

Port A is the best

We had the most wonderful stay at one of our family's most special places, Port Aransas. The house accommodated all of our family comfortably and easily. This home is beautiful and has everything that you would need. We love being a short walk over the boardwalk to the beach or a quick golf cart drive on Sand Castle. We did call Port A Escapes (the management company) and they were very kind and responsive. This home will definitely be on our list for future visits to the island. Thank you!!

Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family enjoyed our stay at the House of Views. Even though it is off the beach, I understand why the home is named House of Views. The large third floor room which includes the kitchen, family room and access to the porch facing the ship channel was much larger than the pictures show. The kitchen was fully equipped to meet our needs. The house needs some maintenance repairs with the kitchen faucet, light bulbs, and in the second floor bathrooms. We also enjoyed use of the golf cart, but did not realize we had to call another company to get the code. The information was not in the house. The property was clean. The manager responded promptly to our questions regarding the middle floor A/C. The beach, pool, golf cart, and house provided our entertainment so we did not venture out to any restaurants. In comparing the prices of other homes, we were very pleased and would consider returning to this home again.
