Great place for a quick fishing getaway.

Loved being back down in Rockport for a quick vacation with friends. Enjoyed fishing off the dock out back and taking the kayaks for a spin.

Frog life fun

Fishing Tournament Stay

Key Allegro

We enjoyed our stay at Frogs Life in Key Allegro. We had plenty of space for all 7 of us and didn’t use/need 3rd bed/bunk room downstairs. The kids loved all the games provided.

The kitchen set up was great, however the KUERIK did not heat up so we could not use our pots to make coffee. It was time consuming to tear into coffee pots to make coffee in the other pot.The third bedroom downstairs was not appealing and even for an older person a bit uncomfortable since it was so close to the gate that opened easily.

Great getaway

The home was clean and a perfect location. The neighborhood was clean and quiet. We loved sitting outside and watching the fish jump. It is important to know that the only access to the kids room is from outside and it is not connected to the rest of the house. This would be great for older trusted kids but not ideal for littles.

Great Deck Area

Overall the house was really good. My family and I really enjoyed the deck area on the water. It was very easy for our boys to fish and they loved the kayaks too. Our boys also enjoyed the bunk room being away from the other rooms. The beds were ver comfortable in the house. We liked the big kitchen but they do need to add more frying pans, better knives, Tupperware, and containers with lids to the kitchen. It would also be nice if they gave more paper towels, toilet paper, towels, and some laundry detergent to wash towels.

I was waiting for some feed back from the rental before I posted but since I’ve heard nothing back here it goes. The house was in good location with nice back porch and dock. Furnishings a little worn down but they were ok for the stay. Day one of our vacation we noticed a leak in the bottom bedroom anytime we showered on the top floor, also a window seal leak. We did not make a big deal, we notified the renters and managed it with buckets and keeping area dry. They told us they had an open ticket and expect a discount of some sort or a type of refund. To this date no communication from the rental company. Make sure the leak is fixed other wise you will be dealing with it instead of relaxing. Besides the leaks I would recommend

House needs work

Master shower tiles are broke and leaking into the room downstairs and has mold in the shower and under the mat. Cords missing to devices so they are unable to be used. Tv never would change channels. Cracks in the walls. All showers have mold in them. The purple bedroom shower door does not slide. Ice machine does not make ice. Smoke alarms are either missing or do not work. Kayak lift doesn't work. Railing on upper back deck is loose in places. House definitely has a couple major safety concerns that need addressed soon before someone gets hurt or sick from the mold. House is in a good location and suited our purpose of vacation.

Nice Home on the canal

The home was very nice and comfortable for our stay. We basically only slept there. The only disappointing and aggravating thing, was I needed to get in early (11AM). I was only needing to put my cold items in the frig. I was not going to stay there. My brother has a house 2 doors down and we were there the whole time other than to sleep. When I called to see if I could do this, I was told no. There was no one there and the place had already been cleaned. This is the FIRST time this has happened to me. Usually landlords are very accommodating and trying to help renters get in as soon as possible...........however, that is NOT what happened at the frog life. It just really left a bad tasted in my mouth knowing I had paid for the weekend, the house was clean and no one was there, and I couldn't get in. So, if your renting this place please remember you won't get in until 4:00.

Nice, clean house in great location. Only negative for us was that the bunk room is on the lower level, completely separate from the rest of the house and only accessible from an exterior door. We have small children who I was not comfortable leaving down there, so we had to utilize the pullout couch for them in the living room; which is not ideal as they go to bed much earlier than everyone else.
