Fantastic location

The house was nicely kept with an amazing view and easy beach access. Lots of items to use if you choose to spend time on the beach. We were there the first week of February, so it was nice and quiet, it almost felt like we had the beach to ourselves. We would definitely stay there again.

Lost Colony Laidback Hideaway

PROS: perfect location, 5 minute walk to the beach; beautiful views from the decks Great air conditioning-always cool even in the heat of the day Kitchen has ever appliance/serving item needed Area was quiet while we were there. Very nice! CONS: Sub par cleaning for a Vacasa property Lots of dog hair on the carpets Beach burs/stickers in the carpets Only 3 towels when we arrived-took 24 hrs to get more towels for our family of 6 Driveway tight for 2 cars- we drive smaller vehicles so it was ok for us. garage small; had to squeeze to get our Toyota Avalon into the garage space. Long walk to get to the outdoor trash bin

Wonderful beach home

Our family of 5 adults and 1 dog had a great vacation here! We found the home to be clean, comfortable, close to the beach and pool, and well stocked for fun! We all took turns cooking, and found the kitchen to be very well supplied. Being able to do laundry, when needed, was super convenient. The view of the beach was fabulous! Would definitely recommend this home to our friends!

Great house with a few issues

There are so many great things about this rental. We loved the location to the beach and the views from the deck and comfortable beds. The house is quite nice except for the fact that is is very difficult to get fresh air in most of the rooms. The main bedroom upstairs had one "operable" window that was broken and duct taped closed. It was often windy and the window would bang open. There was a sliding glass door in that room and also one in the living room. Neither had screens so if left open bugs came in. The kitchen window was stuck and also had no screen. It was usually around 71 degrees so too cool for AC. The bathroom and kitchen rugs were filthy and the kitchen garbage can was broken and had a bunch of food in the bottom under the trash bag left from previous renters I guess. I reached out to the property managers Vacasa and they responded to say someone will contact me to deal with the issues. We were in the rental another 7 days after I reached out and NO ONE ever called or came by. I suggest to the owners that they get different property managers. If the window/screens get fixed and there is better cleaning we would happily stay at this property again.

Always a lively spot.

We always enjoy our time at this house. However, I think it is time for the air vents to be cleaned. The last two visits, my families allergies immediately flaired up when we entered the house, despite the housekeepers doing a great job. I looked inside the air vents and they were pretty gross.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was like home. We had everything we needed. The proximity to the beach was fantastic, the views from the condo were just great! We are already talking about making this a family tradition.

Great Location and house

Beautiful view of the ocean. Spacious deck. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds-even the murphy! Large dining table. No shower on the main floor, just a half bath. 1 large bath with the master and one very small bath outside of the second bedroom upstairs. Would stay here again and again!

Great location

The house was nice, clean, and was stocked with cleaning items/soap/etc. I docked one star on cleanliness, because there was a very strong mothball like smell as soon as we entered the house. The smell dissipated some (and we got used to it). Overall, we loved the location and house, but would’ve enjoyed it not smelling like mothballs.

Quick Beach Getaway

We rented this property with a group of 6. The location was amazing and you could not beat the view. Even though the weather was awful with rain almost the entire time the house made up for it and we had a great time. The kitchen was well stocked and very user friendly. The house was very clean and everyone was comfortable in their rooms. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very disappointed

This was going to be my boys first trip to the beach and we were beyond excited. The house looked absolutely amazing but unfortunately we were not able to go on our trip. We had a close family friend pass away unexpectedly which sadly kept us from going on the trip. This property was not willing to work with us at all and we had already paid in full. They wouldn’t even repost the property to see if they could get it rebooked. I understand they have guidelines rules and policy’s for their rental properties but the fact that they were not able to work with us at all was beyond disappointing. I hope this never happens to anyone else. We will now be looking for somewhere else to take our boys on their first beach trip.

Great Location!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property! The proximity to the beach is unmatched especially in value. And we had a great view off of both decks! The kitchen was stocked and the living room was spacious. All descriptions were accurate. We did have a nice time in the pool as well.
