When we arrived at the place we thought it was so cute, however, when we went downstairs, we noticed a strong odor which smelled very bad. However, one of the families was going to tough it out and stay down there, but upon further inspection, we noticed green mouse poop on the pillows, the bed, the floor & even notice some slightly larger animal poop upstairs. It’s unfortunate as we not only had children with us but also two of the women were pregnant. I wouldn’t expect anyone to sleep where mouse poop is, but it was especially unsettling with our young families. We called the host and they said there was another place they owned in the same area we could switch to, given the circumstances. It took a while for the cleaning/inspection person to check out that place before we got over there, but it ended up being way nicer and much cleaner than this house. We did end up still seeing some mouse poop at the new place in one of the clean towels that was rolled up in a drawer & a cockroach in the coffee maker, but we made the best of our stay. I appreciate the host for letting us switch houses and doing what they could to accommodate us. To be honest, the pink house (where we ended up staying) seemed much newer, cleaner & was a better layout for the kiddos anyways (less stairs). Overall we made the best of our stay but probably would not go back just due to the fact of the pests, having to switch late at night & having trouble contacting the host consistently after hours.
