The threshold for the shower entrance was in need of paint. The hot water faucet in the shower kept coming off. The garage was filthy and basically unuseable. The outdoor water faucet leaks and the sprinkler for it is trashed. The outdoor light on the stairway flashed like a strobe and was not good for navigating the stairs. The cookware was not in very good condition. The master bedroom had a howling noise that sounded like a trumpet blaring and would wake us up when sleeping. The upstairs bedroom carpet is dirty. The downstairs bedroom bunk beds were wobbly and children were afraid to sleep in the top bed.

Perfect location to walk to the beach. The Beachlodge restaurant was at the beach as well, great breakfast lunch spot to watch the waves. The owner was great, she responded to my questions and allowed an early check in when the house was available. The pool was very small and lackluster. The AC worked great all the way up to the 3rd floor bedrooms. You will need to bring your own ice as there is no icemaker and bring your own soap and shampoo for the showers. I will definitely rent this home again.

Southern Comfort is an undersatemnt

Loved the property! Easy walk to the beach made it even better, we didn’t have to waste money on a golf cart or anything like that, close enough to walk back to if you needed anything(like the bathroom). The rooms were spacious and accommodating, they even had good toilet paper not that John Wayne brand. The kitchen was fully stocked with every thing we needed. Check in and check out was very easy. The host was supper awesome and answered every question we had both before arrival and while we were there.

Fun, pleasant stay with our family

We brought 2 of our sons and their families to stay here. It was a great property at one of the best locations in Port Aransas. Rooms were great, plenty of kitchen ware and TVs in every room. We would stay here again with pleasure.

Family vacation

We stayed at Southern Comfort on our first family vacation with our 2 adult children and their families. The house was perfect… big enough, quick walk to the great beach, clean, comfortable. Our host was responsive. I definitely recommend this house.

Comfortable on the coast

Super easy to check in and Suzanne, our host, was incredibly responsive! The home was set up perfectly for all of us to have enough space and privacy to do our own thing but great kitchen/dining/living area for hanging out. With the beach only a short walk down the private road, it was ideal to be able to enjoy beach sunrise and sunsets. We will definitely use this property again!
