House was in nice area close to all the souvenir shops and a short drive to the beach. The house itself was in rough condition, but we made it work. Some of the issues we had were taken care of fast by the management team. The pool is private, but the shade in the backyard creates a hotbed for mosquitoes. We couldn’t enjoy the pool for more than a few minutes at a time before getting eaten up by mosquitos. I get we’re in Texas, but that yard needs to be treated with repellent before stays. Probably won’t stay here again unless some serious renovation is done. I just don’t think it was worth the price we paid for the weekend.

The property was in poor condition. There were multiple places where the exterior layer of the floor was peeled off, the workmanship in the house was terrible. It looked like a very poor DIY job It was a 2-star house at best. The house needs to be completely redone. The AC froze up because the filter was so filthy, The BBQ pit was so dirty we had to spend time burning all of the nasty off before we could use it. The back yard trees need to be trimmed because all of the dead pieces were falling in the pool. My husband is very familiar with pools and we had to adjust the nozzles to get the debris from the trees to flow into the skimmers. He also had to backflush the pool multiple times. The pool was the best part about the house even though it is VERY small. There's no way 10 people could get in the pool and be comfortable. There was a golf cart on the property, but we were told that we could not use it even though there were reviews referencing the use of a golf cart. This was my first time staying in a VRBO and I don't think I'll ever do it again.

Everything was great, the rooms were spacious and the pool was the perfect size for the kids! The overall experience was Great! My kids would love to be back at this house again

Sadly disappointed

Before booking any reservation, I review the most recent reviews. With that being said… I did go back and read all the reviews after my experience. Many of the complaints from months ago still are current issues which you all responded would be fixed. The plumbing is terrible. There is hardly any water pressure in the master shower and the sink drains extremely slow. The toilet in the guest bath has a hard time flushing and filling back up. The house is listed as a heated pool. Although it is written in the fine print on the VERBO app that y’all must be notified and paid extra before arrival, it is not written in the description clearly and when checking out you aren’t given the option to pay more or select the option to be charged extra for the heated pool. My family based our entire stay at this location for the heated pool. I contacted two different numbers with this concern right after I arrived and offered to pay the money and it was denied even though I was staying for four days. From reading previous reviews, other guests had this issue as well but you all granted them their request. The house is kid friendly and the back yard neat! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to enjoy it as planned. The house is decorated very cute but the house needs some maintenance. The flooring feels like you might fall through in some areas. Just okay

Better options for the money. Outside is almost unusable from mosquitos. Places in the floor that felt like you might step through. Direct golf cart rental was nice. Place is okay but needs some love.

Heated pool

Everything was great except that it was advertised as a heated pool. That’s the reason I revered this property. It was like pulling teeth, but they finally turned the on the heat for the pool after much deliberation.

Great except

Overall great property. We’ve stayed at a few different places in port an and this one is the best. Communication to the property manager was a mess. The messages in the app might not have ever went to the property manager, not sure exactly. I messaged days before my stay with no response. The check in day I got an automatic message with invitation to chat. This chat feature was to Vacasa and was very strange. Very uniformed people that didn’t help. Possible just a bot. Then two days into my stay when I repeatedly asked for the pool heater to be turned on finally the bot connected me to the property manager. She came by and turned the heater on for us. It was almost necessary in mid march. But the house is Very nice.

Wonderful stay

The outdoor space was awesome. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids. They even have some games for adults and children. Plenty of room in the kitchen. There are some weak spots in the floor that need to be addressed but we put a towel over these to keep everyone off of it. We had a great time and are excited to come back.

No one cared

Started off good but then the toilet stopped workibg ,when we tried to use the plunger which should have been clue number one because it was right next to the toilet when we arrived,the plunging made the other toilet and shower over flow with poop .lwe now had 2 showers with poop and 2 toilets that did not work . We reached out to every phone number provided and waited 15 hrs before some one showed up to try and fix the issue. I asked for the property manager to please call me and she never did. I wanted sone kind of suggestions or ideas of what plan of action they had for us , no one still has contacted me. We ended up leaving a day early because the smell and the mess was unbearable. My 75 yr old mothers first beach trip and this is what she experienced. Unacceptable !

Very cute home

The house is clean, very nice, and had all of the amenities we needed. It was very convenient to be able to rent a golf cart directly from the owners. The pool in the backyard is adorable, but we didn't opt to be out there much. Mosquitoes are really bad, so it wasn't pleasant to sit outside unless you were covered in bug spray, unfortunately. The town sprays, but there are still a ton of them. There's nothing to be done - I'm sure it's just because you don't get the strong ocean breeze on that side of town. The town pool / dog park / tennis courts / skate park / soccer fields is just down the road; walkable. That would be really nice for families with young kids - when looking for things to do when you're not at the beach.

A cute little house with everything you need.

It is in the “downtown” area so it was in a crowded location but still somehow felt out of the way with quick access to all the hustle and bustle around the tourist area. Only minor gripe is that gas’s grill did not work. Pool was a very nice touch and we got lots of enjoyment from the paceman game.

Disappointed

We got the place because it stated it had a heated pool. We tried every which way to turn it on, ended up calling the rental property management to find out We had to pay $50 additional a day and had to tell them 3 days in advance!
