This was our first time visiting Cinnamon Shores, and overall, the community itself is beautiful. Check-in and communication during our stay was easy and organized. The location of the house is great and the house was very clean. We also loved that we were able to bring our dogs. We were a little worried about construction noise (and the house next door is under construction) but we didn’t hear anything during our stay. The exterior of the home next door appears complete, and it looks like most of the remaining work is inside. That said, I would not recommend this house for families with babies or small children. There was no baby gear provided (pack ’n plays, high chairs, baby gates), and the hardwood floors with thin rugs weren’t great for crawling or sitting babies. There were also no dark bedrooms, bathrooms, or closets for nap time—one of the biggest frustrations was the lack of blackout shades. We had to put pillows against windows just to block some light. Even at night, neighboring houses’ outdoor lights shined brightly into the rooms, making it hard to sleep. There were also some maintenance issues:The master bathroom shower didn’t drain well. The freezer drawer barely opened.Worst of all, the downstairs AC did not work (or work well), leaving our daughter’s room over 80 degrees at night, even with three fans running. For the high price tag, we expected more—at minimum, room-darkening curtains/shades, extra beach towels, and perhaps some cold bottled water on arrival. The home is in a kid-friendly community, but we were surprised by how little it catered to families with small kids.I would recommend this property to guests traveling with dogs and without young children, but unfortunately, we won’t be staying here again until our kids are older.
