Pool is seasonal, hard to keep outside pool warm when its in the 30ies at night. Have a great year

I checked in gave my cc got room key checked out the room. Left and went hacking got back and the cozy Cortez have given my room to someone else’s. Long weekend NO other rooms in Cortez or Durango. I have to drive home wasting All day Sunday and Monday of my long weekend. Trashed my Sunday because I got home at 4am

For the price what can you expect? Definitely old property and privately owned. The room seemed decently clean, just super small and the AC sounds like it might explode. Breakfast is as expected, cereal and toast. The hot and pool is nice though. Weird thing is the bathroom had a rug. Yuck! Never seen that before. Gives off the vibe that you might get shanked in your bed one night.

No Frills For Sure
This is definitely a no frills motel. It is very old. The bed was comfortable. We were glad we were only there one night.

Pluses and a minus
Staff was wonderful, room was clean, beds were a bit firm. I would not recommend the breakfast. Other than that, our stay was a pleasant one.

Motel sans prétention
Motel sans prétention servant d'étape entre Mesa Verde et Monument Valley. Piscine ok. Le spa était fonctionnel mais avec une hygiène douteuse. Bien placé cependant à Cortez qui offre plus que l'accés à Mesa Verde avec la proximité du magnifique et méconnu parc de Canyon of the Ancients

So So Stay
It is what it is for what you pay. Nothing was turned on prior to arrival, even though we booked a week before arrival. A/C took 4-5 hours to cool down and we are in Colorado.during record breaking heat wave. Room had an odor musky. Place need a lot off updates, an cleaning, painting.

You get what you pay for. It wa $86 per night. Hot tub was absolutely polluted. The breakfast was just bagged donuts and cold cereal. Three of us to get checked in, waiting for someone to arrive at the desk. Lots of permanent residents that spend all day smoking in the common area. TV didn’t work. Outlets didn’t work. Just nasty all around. Bed was good. Room was clean.

Traveling on a budget
This hotel was wonderful considering the low price. The place was clean. A different time zone made me miss breakfast 😔 The pool was definitely a real plus.

The bathroom had a window to the parking lot and it didn’t have a curtain. I had to tape one of my t-shirts to feel comfortable. I also got a complaint that my dog was barking and that he was setting all the other dogs off. It’s a dog friendly hotel. You also have to pay a $5 dollar fee for bringing your pet which is not said anywhere. They make you sign a paper as well stating that they are not liable for anything that gets stolen in your room. There’s no vault to put valuables in so a little hard to keep valuables safe especially after signing that paper.

The Late Checkout that Never Happened
I asked for late checkout and was told that I could check out at 11:30, vs the standard 11:00 checkout. I went out on an early hike, packed and cleaned up my room. When I returned to take a shower @ 9:30am, I was disturbed in the middle of the shower by the front desk staff stating that I needed to leave. They stated that they had already checked me out as there was no personal belongings in the room (keep in mind that my room key still worked when I returned to take a shower). I would not recommend staying at this motel.

Decent, quick stop.
Decent. Good value but old and not super clean. The hot tub room had glass doors that were filthy and the pool was murky. Overall it was a fine stop over, but things are just old and not super clean.

Super dirty carpet
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for Memorial weekend. The only thing that was found clean/good condition was the sheets and towels. The room was nothing like the pictures, the carpet was super dirty. Stains everywhere. We didn't dare to walk on it barefoot and the condition of the bathroom is no the best. We we're very disappointed at the condition of the hotel in general. The jacuzzi room is very dirty and also the chairs by the pool are so worn out that fabric is falling a part. Will no stay at this hotel again.

Yes our singles are older, we just put new carpet & painted all new toilet & faucets and shower! Have a great year.
