“This was a perfect place to explore, without the hubbub of being downtown. Every person who works here has a smiling face, the woman even called me to make sure I was ok because I hadn’t checked in by 7:45 PM (though the check-in is open till 10 PM). “The Sand Bar Cottage is the best place to stay in Bar Harbor! Arrive, unload, and stay parked while you walk and enjoy all that Bar Harbor & Acadia has to offer. Not worrying over finding parking was the greatest perk, but the entire property was beautiful with blooming flowers and the staff were all extremely helpful and hospitable. Our cottage was absolutely perfect. ”

The room was immaculately clean and had all the comforts I needed. Everything is self-serve, including a modest but adequate continental breakfast each morning, set up in the entrance foyer. Patrick is a terrific host who went out of his way to ensure a comfortable stay. Highly recommended for a stay in Lubec.”
