“I needed to visit the area at the last minute and I really lucked out with this home. You can tell you are staying in someone’s home not a house that has been “flipped” for short term rentals. It is super cozy with high quality furnishings and the kitchen is stocked better than anywhere else I’ve stayed. It’s hard to tell from the listing but there are 3 separate rooms for sleeping. One queen bed in one room, two twin beds in another room and a futon in the tv room. I visited to help a family...

“We absolutely loved the Secluded Forest Escape. The house is open, with tall ceilings and great views - it seems bigger than the photos. Everything is well-maintained, very clean, and well-provided. The location is indeed secluded, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed there to explore the redwoods, which were a relatively short drive, both North and South, so the location worked-out great.”

“Cute vintage feel to the house with modern amenities. Easy walk to the beach with miles of beach walking. Fenced yard was a real plus for traveling with our dog. Easy access to local towns of Arcata and Eureka for dining and shopping. And of course conveniently located for exploring the redwood forest, the real reason for our visit.This is a real gem and we will return if in the area for the future. ”

“My family and I had a very pleasant stay! Plaza Casita is very walkable to great restaurants, the grocery store, and Cal Poly Humboldt (which we were checking out for my son). The only weird thing that happened was that Vrbo cancelled my trip (after we'd already paid and while we were in route to our destination), but Amy (the host) and I were able to stay in communication, and she knew we were still planning to stay.
