“Our stay fit our needs just right. We needed a clean place to crash while spending most of our time in Acadia or somewhere on the island, and this spot is just minutes from crossing over to the island. <5 mins to great morning coffee spots, several lobster shacks. Having white noise helps drown out road noise. Wifi in room 10 is spotty and needs an extender, as cell service is sparse. I would definitely suggest adding more wall hooks throughout the room and bathroom - much easier to hang up gear...

“We hiked Acadia, traveled to Quoddy Lighthouse, Lubic and to Nubble lighthouse. This was such a retreat to come back to in the evenings.James provides extra touches that truly make you feel like his personal guest.”

“The unit was clean and provided all we need. Great shower, which isn't something usual for my VRBO experience. Absolutely no complaints, but the best part of all is how close it is to everything! A short drive to Acadia for awesome hiking and perfect walking distance to everything Bar Harbor has to offer. I did have a question during our stay, which I messaged through the VRBO app and received a response very quickly. Great place!!”

“We are not hikers but enjoyed driving in Acadia and up Cadillac mountain and just wandering. Eve’s place was exactly as pictured and perfect for the 2 of us. We didn’t cook much but the apartment was certainly set up and equipped enough for cooking. The muffins and daffodils were a nice welcome. I would recommend this and we were happy to be away from the busy town. ”

“We think Southwest Harbor is the perfect spot to stay within MDI/Acadia, and this studio apartment is the perfect spot to stay within Southwest Harbor. It's a quiet, cozy retreat, and yet you are right in the middle of everything you need, including plenty of great restaurants and cute shops. “The apartment was perfect for just the two of us. There was a musty smell which we attributed to the washing machine. The deck could use some updating. I would also recommend keeping a broom and dust pan in the house for sweeping up. Coming in and out we tracked a lot in from our shoes. Especially when it was raining. We ended up buying one.
