We recently stayed at this property with the intention of exploring the nearby areas. One notable feature is its proximity to the public boat launch. For those keen on fishing, this might be a bonus. However, for travelers like us, who had driven for 10 hours and hoped to sleep in a bit, the early morning boat launches were a disturbance due to the noise of the boat motors.
Our main concern was the cleanliness and condition of the home. Upon arrival, we noticed a persistent mildew smell. Additionally, the rug in the master bedroom felt damp to the touch. To our surprise, the house was also inundated with deer flies. This resulted in both our 5-year-old and 1-year-old waking up with bites on their faces and legs. Throughout our stay, we found ourselves having to eliminate numerous flies.
Arrival at the property was somewhat challenging, as the exterior lights were all turned off, making both identification of the house and access to the keypad difficult. Inside, we found the light switch configurations to be non-intuitive, and several lamps were out of service due to burned-out bulbs. We also felt the artwork in the room with the bunk beds was not particularly child-friendly.
To sum up, while this property might be suitable for those on a fishing trip, we believe those seeking a comfortable and serene stay might want to consider other options.
