“Está muy bien y el desayuno muy rico”

“We were travelling with a dog so stayed in a dog-friendly room. Sadly, it smelled badly of wet dog and there was a dirty patch of floor and skirting board in the bathroom which looked like mud at best, or dog mess, at worst. Although we are dog owners, we do like a room that smells nice and that’s cleaned properly.”

“Beautiful setting and very welcoming by Sam. Great breakfast and comfortable beds.”

“Very good!”

“El hotel esta bien para una o 2 noches, cerca de la carretera y de fácil aparcamiento. Además hay muchas opciones de comida en el mismo predio. Lo recomiendo, el personal muy amable y atento. Faltaría un poco de almacenaje o estanterías para colocar la ropa, pero como dije antes es un hotel para 1 o 2 noches.”

“Muy bien”

“Un hermoso hotel y un restaurant muy bueno ”

“Superb stay for an overnight business trip .”

“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. “Free parking Breakfast poor Hotel in neeed of refurbishment. In poor condition Fraying carpets and cleanliness not good Room 25 was cold Even with heating on.Very draughty.Too cold to have shower heated towel rail not working Staff indifferent”

“Bit of a gamble as we’d never been before but was booked as a last minute weekend away without breaking the bank. Excellent communication post booking and a very warm welcome upon arrival from Julia on reception. Room was clean, bed extremely comfortable and a decent selection of emergency toiletries. Good parking. Relaxed breakfast with a variety of tasty choices. Would definitely stay again if in this area.”

“Primarily chosen as it was near to an event we were attending at the Nene Valley Railway (a short drive from the pub). We liked that the accommodation was in a separate building to the pub (although the pub was not loud). Good breakfast, evening meals, and friendly staff. We have a lovely walk around the village one evening, went back following day to try the local tea rooms but they closed early which was a shame. Will definitely stay here again”
