“This is not a hotel. It is a house that rents rooms out. That said, it was clean and fine for a one night stay. I was not sent check in instructions, so I had to call them when I arrived to see how to access my room.”

Shower took forever to drain and black mould in shower. The room needs a realy good overall and not just a coat of bad paint job which it looks like they do. “The parking was good, off from the road, car was secure. The hostess was great, and very friendly. Room and bathroom could have been cleaner, dust all over the covered garbage bin in bathroom, huge cobweb in corner, and large peeling area on wall of bathroom. Large cobwebs at top of one window. No electrical outlet by beds, major frustration because husband uses CPAP machine to sleep. Continental breakfast was good, lots of fruit. Temperature of water hard to control in shower. No washcloths...

“Avonpark House is a very good travellers rest. Comfortable and clean, our room was a reasonable size as was the ensuite. It’s a walkable distance into the centre of town. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Good parking available and an excellent breakfast.”
