  • Chapel Island Retreat beach home located only 100m to cowes front beach, and a stones throw from tennis courts, lovers walk & cowes golf course. The main street of cowes is a 5 minute walk up the road.

    This is a double storey house with large open plan living area (lounge, dining, kitchen), with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and four toilets.

    Downstairs:
    Master bedroom: One Double bed with Ensuite bathroom. (ceiling fan).
    Ensuite bathroom: Basin, shower, toilet.
    Open plan living area with Dining, lounge & kitchen.
    Dining area: Eight seat dining table.
    Lounge area: Three couches, one 3 seater and 2 x two seaters.42inch Flatscreen TV with DVD player and chromecast. Block out roller blinds on all windows.
    5kw Split System Airconditioner
    Kitchen: Bose dishwasher, inbuilt oven with induction cooktop, toaster, microwave. LG double fridge with water and ice function.

    Upstairs:
    Bedroom 2: One Queen bed & one double fold down futon bed. Ensuite bathroom (ceiling fan, Flat screen TV).
    Bedroom 3 One Queen bed & one double fold down futon bed (ceiling fan).
    Bedroom 4: One Queen bed, two single childrens beds & one bunk bed (two singles) = 4 single beds in total. (ceiling fan).
    Bathroom: Basin, shower, small bath and toilet

    The house bedding configuration is as follows:

    Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One Double Bed + ensuite bathroom (ceiling fan).
    Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed & one double fold down futon bed. Ensuite bathroom (ceiling fan, Flat screen TV).
    Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Queen bed & one double fold down futon bed (ceiling fan).
    Bedroom 4 (Upstairs): One Queen bed, two single childrens beds & one bunk bed (two singles) = 4 single beds in total. (ceiling fan).

    LINEN:

    * Full linen is provided including bath towels. 
    * Hand towels and face washers are provided for all bathrooms.
    * Doonas & pillows & blankets are provided.   

    * Linen for porta-cots is not supplied.

    * Tea Towels are provided.

    Granny Flat - There is an additional granny flat which is detached from the main residence. This is available only on request and is subject to special conditions.

    Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly the tariff rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this will result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments. Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and will result in termination of rental and/or loss of bond.

    Between 10.30pm and 8am noise levels must not disturb neighbours. EPA enforced neighbourhood quiet hours are from 10.30pm - 8am.

    At any time there is to be NO LOUD aggressive behaviour, yelling, screaming and or arguing etc.

    Upon payment to secure your booking, you confirm that you comply with our standard Terms and Conditions and Privacy Statement which is included in your booking information.

Guests will be asked to leave the premises without notice should noise or nuisance complaints be received or if the number of guests exceeds the number confirmed at time of booking.

    DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE HOUSE

    PETS: Pets are allowed but must have been mentioned during the booking correspondence. Specific information regarding the pet i.e. type/breed must be given. Please be aware that pets are not permitted on furniture or beds.

    * Please make sure to pick up your dog's droppings. This is your responsibility to do this. Please use a plastic bag and dispose of the bag in the outside rubbish bin.

    * If your dog is a compulsive barker or tends to bark more in unfamiliar environments you may want to consider ​leaving him/her at home. Dogs that bark relentlessly have been an issue with the neighbours in the past at this particular property. To ensure you have "quiet enjoyment" of the property the owners and management would prefer the peace be kept.

    We also require a bond in some cases which is fully refundable after your stay.

    Weekend and Long weekend Stays may be allocated a late checkout which will be subject to change. If another booking comes into the property on the day of your checkout the checkout time will be reverted to the standard checkout time of 10am.

    HomeAway/Stayz online bookings will charge a SERVICE FEE. This fee is not paid to us as the owners and is a charge made independently by the HomeAway/Stayz online payment booking system.

    The "Taxes" charge is the new Victorian Government 7.5% levy on short term accommodation in Victoria. This tax is collected by HomeAway/Stayz and is remitted to the Victorian State Revenue office by HomeAway/Stayz.

Enjoyable house for our group of seven people .

All beds good except for the one in the downstairs room which was way too soft. We rolled into the middle every time we turned over. The outdoor spaces needed cleaning. We will stay again next year if possible.

Phillip Isle Bike Races Accommodation

Property itself is very good & looks to have been recently renovated internally. It is about 10/15 min walk to Cowes CBD. My personal experience with the property manager though was unfortunately terrible as I found this individual arrogant & condecending to say the least. I note again this does not reflect on the standard of the property.

Great location

We had a wonderful time in the house. It has the perfect location for us. A pleasant walk along the beach to the restaurant area. Parking is plentiful. The bed in the downstairs bedroom is terrible. The mattress is in poor condition. The house was not as clean as on our previous stay. There was a damp smell in a couple of bedrooms. We would stay here again if these minor issues were rectified.

Bit of TLC needed

Sorry to say we were a bit disappointed with the house compared to the photos. House didn't look like it was visited just prior to our booking, leaves at front door, spiders in places. Downstairs area was quite large and nicely done, although felt the sofa was a bit grubby. Upstairs didn't have any air conditioning which proved a problem as it was hot on our first night there. Even with windows open it was still stifling. Beds could do with updating, seemed very old. The stay was enjoyable but not quite to what we expected.

Wonderful place!

Really pleased with the house and location, we'll definitely book again! House is really big and airy, nice spacious rooms and plenty of places to sleep - even a bedroom downstairs with an ensuite. Wonderful dining and lounge area downstairs, love the open plan living. Really loved the kitchen and it came with all the staples if you feel like cooking. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the local shops and one block back from a beautiful beach. Nice garden for doggo to enjoy, and a little doggy door for him to come in and out as he pleased.
