  • Please note that the hot tubs at Emmons and Axtell will close on Monday, April 7th, which is the day after the last day of Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s ski season.
    The tubs will reopen on June 1st for the summer season.

    Location, location, location! This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo with a gas fireplace is literally steps from the ski slopes and all the base area activities as well as steps away from the free Town Shuttle. Enjoy the convenience of this two-bedroom, two-bath condo. On the quiet side of the building, you won't hear the noise from the base area.

    Imagine kicking off your skis, walking inside, and relaxing next to the electric fireplace after an awesome day on the mountain. Or take a quick break for lunch without getting out of your ski gear but in the comfort and privacy of your slope-side condo.

    Not only is Emmons 431 ski in and ski out but it is situated at the base area of the mountain with immediate access to all base area shops, restaurants, and amenities.

    This condo features a deck and a fully stocked kitchen. This condo will comfortably sleep up to six people! The home has just been updated with BRAND NEW BEDS in January of 2023 as well as a new electric fireplace. There is one king bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom and a sleeper couch in the living room. There is a hot tub in the complex and a laundry room on the first floor of the building.

    Bedrooms are as follows: [1] Master Bedroom King Bed, [2] 2 Twin Beds, Living Room has a Queen sized sleeper sofa.

    We would like to let you know that there are several flights of stairs to get to the unit.

    This unit does come with one parking spot. There is overflow parking but trailers and RVs are not allowed. You can arrange parking for those types of vehicles through Crested Butte Mountain Resort Adventure Center Concierge!

    Book through Peak Property Management and Sales and receive special discounts for ski and snowboard rentals through Christy Sports and Black Tie Ski Rentals!

    Looking for a longer-term stay? 15-30 days? Good discounts are available for longer rentals!!

This condo has a great location, very close to lifts. Shuttle buses to town also very convenient. Furnishings and carpet in need of cleaning, but overall a great stay

Fantastic House, Fantastic location

Great place to stay real close to lifts. Lots of stairs from parking lot to unit, so be prepared. Not as bad as I thought but requires stamina when you are loading in. Not nearly as bad loading out. Unit had most everything you need but could use a few more basics for cooking and mixing. Nice unit and very comfortable. Beds were great and lots of sheets and towels, plenty of space to stretch out and relax between those great snow days on the mountain. Made our stay very nice as we did not move van once we got a spot at building parking lot as otherwise you need to park about 1/4 mile away. Walk to lift is about 2-3 min. as is as good as you can get with out spending twice as much. I believe that this is best deal in the base area without question. I will look to book again if we return. Dealing with bldg. mgmt. was easy and polite.

Nice property.

Nice property with ski in/out. No shuttle required unless going to town. The down side was no access to the hot tub.

Great location

The Emmons building was comfortable and welcoming. The balcony was an added bonus as we sat out there each night and enjoyed the mountain view. I would highly recommend this location.

Bargain close to the lifts!

This was the second year my family stayed in this condo for Spring Break. It should be noted that some have complained of the stairs to reach the door and then the 3 stories of the condo itself, but this is not the only condo with these circumstances. It is, however, one of the only condos on the mountain with this price! We find it to be a great deal financially, and perfectly suited for my family's needs. Straight-forward dealing with the management company, easy access, and convenient.

Comfortable condo - great location!

We loved the proximity to the lift! That was the biggest plus for us. The condo itself was comfy and the perfect size for the 4 of us. Yes, there were lots of stairs, but we knew that going in, and we just considered it exercise. Both the hot tub and the laundry room were conveniently located, and the condo/kitchen were well stocked. We loved the Crested Butte area; if they'd only had a nice snowstorm while we were there, so that more expert terrain would have been opened, it would have been perfect!

Unprofessional Management, Misleading Parking, 5 flights stairs, harassment, inaccurate info

Unprofessional management/misleading. There is no parking space assigned to this condo; you park two blocks away in general skier parking. There is no marked unloading zone, and you must negotiate a FULL 5 flights of stairs to the condo from a parking area at building front (in addition to five flights of stairs to condo, be aware 3 floor condo has two stair sets to bedrooms). Three runs each up/down to the condo,, (approximately 15- 20 minutes) and the vehicle was stickered requiring a razor to remove (compliments lying irresponsible Toad Management when we were clearly observed tag running up/down unloading) of which afterwards I received a text & phone call from the Peak Management accusing me of blocking handicap parking (absolutely untrue!!!!!!) and being in a no parking zone. Where do you unload -two blocks away in the snow and drag all your stuff? Offering another condo was just pure hassle on our valuable time. In addition, after unloading/parking the vehicles in the skiers lot, we received a SECOND message and phone call the NEXT day accusing my condo that we moved parking cones and our vehicle was recognized? (just a full diatribe of irresponsible rhetoric). I asked not to be called again and stop these unreasonable accusations. Asked Peak Management if there was a reciprocal ski storage agreement with condo complex who said NONE was available. Ski Valet recognized the Emmons Building and provided ski storage (Shame on Peak Management!! for not knowing). During our stay, the condo was entered and sprayed on all three floors of condo with some chemical disinfectant (denied by Peak Management) and all four of us smelled it - which was an affront, all windows and doors had to be opened. THIS WAS MORE THAN UNCONSCIONABLE!! I had an asthma attack, got sick and was hospitalized. My condo mates can speak to the condition of the condo upon entry, which I was not there - apparently they did some cleaning. The towels appeared dirty and questionable. Location is within walking distance to lifts, condo dated and usable not worth unprofessionalism, cleaning, stickers, accusations, parking, etc. or CHEMICAL SPRAYED in condo -however it got there. VRBO/Peak conflict check in/out and parking info. All in condo got sick after leaving this condo. - I stay in many resorts for weekends/rent condos w/ friends and ski group. NEVER AGAIN EMMONS BUILDING, Peak or Toad Management.

Had a great time, and there are definite things you need to know about this property

Positives: It is a great location for skiing, the ski lift is a few hundred feet from the unit. Peak property management was very responsive and did a great job. The unit was clean, stocked with firewood and starters to make it comfortable, and the hot tub was close, clean, and ready to be used. Location is close to lots of things, including the shuttle to Crested Butte. Plenty of blankets and towels. things to consider: You have to climb 6-7 flights of stairs to get to the bedroom from outside. If you are from a place close to sea level, coming to this elevation, or have knee problems, it makes it difficult. If you are planning to do all your own cooking, the space is limited, and there are not a lot of cooking utensils or pans. The Condo is 3 stories with the master being on the top floor. The beds are a little older and the mattresses have some mileage on them. Make sure and bring your own soap and shampoo as there is little or none provided. The television is a 1993 model, but does work. I would rent from here again, and would know what I am getting. We were able to maximize our skiing, which is what we came for. And the management company was great, along with the pricing was reasonable for the convenience. Thanks for a good trip.
