Academy Place | King's Crown

Academy Place King’s Crown is located around the beautiful Academy Place Courtyard in downtown Crested Butte, Colorado. Just across the street from the Center for the Arts, Academy Place is perfectly located for easy access to downtown restaurants, shops, and groceries as well as walkability from hiking and biking trails nearby. Despite the proximity to everything you could need including bus stops, Academy Place is relatively quiet due to being set back from the larger road. It is the ideal location for being both private and downtown.

King’s Crown is a cottage, meaning you would rent the entire home for yourself! It is a three bedroom, ideal for a romantic getaway for smaller groups, or families with kids to stay in the bunk room. Upon entry, King’s Crown boasts a fully equipped kitchen with large appliances and cookware, a dining table with additional counter seating, and a large living area with high ceilings. Upstairs is the primary suite with a King-sized bed, while downstairs upon entry is the Queen bedroom and the Bunk room with three twin beds. In total, King’s Crown can sleep a maximum of 7. There are ensuite bathrooms for each bedroom, and a powder room on the entry floor for general use. The primary bathroom has a large soaking tub, as well as a steam shower.

King’s Crown also has a full sized washer and dryer, onsite parking for two cars in addition to available street parking, and the living room has a gas fireplace as well as both a Smart TV and Sonos for music. Each bedroom has its own TV as well for cozy entertainment. The outside space includes a private porch with an outdoor propane grill. Please note that this unit does not have air conditioning.

As far as differences from the other Academy Place units, King’s Crown is along the street, closest to the townhome building. This is perfect for those who are renting Larkspur or Wild Iris in addition, though there is absolutely privacy for those renting King’s Crown alone. The dining area has particularly large windows to let abundant natural light in around your meals. The layout suits families with children well due to the three twin beds.
