The location was great for our purposes (we come to the area each summer to see family who live just minutes away), and we enjoyed walks with our preschooler down to the little beach to hunt for sea glass. “Had an amazing stay at this charmer on the coast! Very clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Spent many hours just watching the ducks and birds enjoying the treats that come and go as the tides change. Great jumping off point to enjoy the beautiful coast of Maine! The only drawback is that the road is incredibly close to the house and the traffic noise is impossible to drown out, especially when trying to sleep in the second bedroom. Not ideal, but we would definitely return! ”

“My husband & I stayed for a week. Owner was available & even turned some lights in for us since we were arriving after dark. The cottage was clean & comfortable. Nice updated bathroom with a very nice walk-in shower. Kitchen fully stocked. There was never anything that we needed that wasn’t there. It’s set on a beautiful & peaceful, oceanfront private drive. The view from the bed was amazing to wake up to. Location was just wanted we were hoping for as far as convenience to all that we wanted...

“Matinicus is a lovely place to explore and enjoy and Isle Be Back was just perfect to stay at! The accommodations were great for our group - nice big kitchen to work in, plenty of space to hang out in, big back deck for dinners, and bedrooms simple but lovely. It's a great location in the center of the island to walk to the beaches, trails and around the island. Communication with host was super- quick responses and thoughtful.”
