“Exhaust fan/light extremely noisy. Walkway right next to door so had to keep blinds pulled across. Apart from kettle and coffee mugs no other kitchen utensils available and general store had run out of plates bowls etc. Restaurant extremely expensive and all side dishes extra.”

On our way west, we were given room #24 - definitely don't stay in that one. It was clean and the mattress and pillows were comfortable, but it was in very poor repair. The wardrobe literally had broken handles hanging off it, the smoke detector had been removed, the bedside lights were blinding fluorescent bulbs...

Although the hotel burned down 3 times since most of the history happened, it's still neat knowing you are standing where famous things happened.
