We came for RTS and it was perfect. Easy short drive to and from concert. House was adorable and very clean. Host was excellent accommodating our stay!

Great House!

The White House was awesome! We really enjoyed the house, it was very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The house was clean, and the view of the lake was great. We would love to stay at this house again.

Perfect family getaway

This is our second time staying here for Thanksgiving. My father, husnabnd and teen boys love hanging out by the fire ring area and game room. The home always has all the cookware we need to make a meal, a huge plus for us.

4 friends had a great weekend at the Whitehouse. Beds were comfortable, the house was clean, we had all the necessities for a guy’s weekend of grilling, football and fishing.

Plenty outdoor space

Amazing views and so many places to sit around and enjoy the outdoors. Screened in porch was fun for card playing. Kayaking and game room were fun for all. Plenty of space outside and inside to enjoy friends/family. Beds were super comfy. Wonderful home with well stocked kitchen.

Great Getaway!

Perfect location close enough to the “city life” but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the “countryside” loved the convenience of not having to travel far to get items needed to cook or to go for a night out. The house was exactly as described.. the game room was a big hit for my son and the kayaks as well. We loved everything about it. Nice quiet area. Lovely homeowners who made our stay very welcoming! Will definitely return!

Great Property, Wonderful Hospitality

Host was incredibly communicative and accommodating - very easy to work with and very responsive. The property was very clean, not a single complaint there. The house comes with a full entertainment room - fooseball, pool, darts - what’s not to love? Also enjoyed the kayaks. Water access is very easy with a nice dock and level ground to push off from. Great property, would definitely be a repeat customer.

Great Weekend Getaway

We went with 3 family’s with kids ranging 2-12 and had a great time! The white house was the perfect stay for us! Darrell and Sherry were so helpful and quick to respond. The only downside was the water was a little muddy here, but bc the water level was low at this time. But ours kids didn’t mind at all because they would “turtle hunt”.

Wonderful Whitehouse!

Amazing vacation stay! The photos do not do this home justice. Much more lovely in person! Plenty of room indoors & out for our family of 12. You could not want for anything as far as food/drink preparation. Hosts were so thoughtful to provide welcome treats upon our arrival! Located perfectly and easy access to the lake & boat rentals. The sweetest hosts were very easy to communicate with and checkin/check out was a breeze. If you're looking for a lake retreat, this can't be beat! Thanks for sharing your home, Sherry & Darrell!

Great place and close to town

This rental has everything that you will need when staying on the lake. Kayaks, life jackets, and paddle board were all provided. All of the cooking materials that you could need along with some basic spices. The grounds are beautiful and the house sleeps a lot people comfortably. The owner was very responsive with any questions. They even provide some snacks and basic essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, etc… i highly recommend this rental.

Perfect Place for family to hang out!!

Absolutely loved the house and all that it had to offer. Game room down stairs was a hit with the kids. 6 rooms allowed for everyone to rest comfortably. Access to Smith lake allowed us to fish whenever we wanted. It was a great place for relatives that lived in the area to stop and visit whenever they wanted. The carport served two purposes, place to park the car as well as addition place for family to hang out during any rain showers. Overall, we couldn't have asked for more! Property managers were great with communication. We will definitely stay there again.

Seasonal Decorator’s Paradise

We celebrated Thanksgiving with granddaughters working at University of AL Medical Center. Since they couldn’t get off work we took the family to them. The 6 BR (one bunk room with 4 beds) home on Beautiful Lake Smith accommodated all of us The kitchen was well equipped for holiday cooking. We enjoyed walking the property and sitting around the large fire pit.Inside the festive fall decor made the house feel cozy. The young adults enjoyed the pool table in the game room downstairs. Thanks Sherry and Darrell, we had a wonderful visit.

You should definitely BOOK THIS HOUSE! 5++ stars!

WOW! We travel a lot and have used VRBO for almost all of it. We’ve stayed in some pretty nice places and recently on a trip before this not a great one :( but this home was by far the BEST. The White House renews my faith in VRBO and amazing owners. This home is what every VRBO should aim for! This house is clean, stocked, and honestly the closest property we’ve stayed in that felt like “home”! The owners are so nice and have created an amazing property. The lake and dock were great, the game room was a blast, we played a lot of pool, and there everything you would want to do on a trip. Fire pit, fishing, a hammock, kayaks, screened in porch to sit and relax and FUN! I truly hope we are back in this area next year so we can stay here again!

Family friendly, close to places.

We enjoyed our stay at the Whitehouse and our very first time on Smith Lake! The house had everything we needed in the kitchen. The grill(s) cooked well also. The game room was a hit, especially with the kids. Very clean, homey feel. All the kids slept on the couch (instead of bunk beds one night) and said the couch was super comfy to sleep on. Plenty of room for our party of 13. We used the fire pit for s’mores one night until we couldn’t take the heat outside any longer! Smith lake was absolutely beautiful and we can not wait to return! Would definitely recommend staying here. Owners were super easy to communicate with, even checked on us during our stay, and left some yummy snacks for us.
