  • This holiday property makes for a great romantic getaway. This area has some excellent walking and cycle routes available.. All on the Ground Floor:

    Open plan living space.

    Living area: 28" Freeview Smart TV, DVD Player, Ipod Dock, Open Fire

    Dining area.

    Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher

    Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed

    Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included. Welcome pack and doggy extras.. Small enclosed garden with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. Electric vehicle charging point. Public car park. No smoking. Please note: There are 9 steps in the garden.. This charming, bijou, terraced cottage with a red pantile roof, dating back to 1780 when it was a weavers cottage, is located in the centre of the historic picturesque village of Ceres. Well Cottage has been thoughtfully furnished for comfort and ease, and is the perfect location for a relaxing retreat for a couple. There are excellent cycling and footpaths from the cottage door and the Fife Folk Museum is across the road, as well as the village green. This conservation village has a good pub and a hotel serving food, tea rooms, an antique shop, a family butchers, village store and the renowned Wemyss Ware Pottery. Scotland’s oldest highland games are held on the last Saturday in June. The picture-postcard East Neuk of Fife with fishing villages and sandy beaches are within easy driving distance, and St Andrews is only seven miles away and well worth a visit. This area is renowned for its golf, with a multitude of excellent courses within easy reach. Trout fishing is available locally (licence required). Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth are all within an hour’s drive. When you return to the cottage after exploring the area, you can sit back with a glass of wine in front of the cosy fire. Golf is also available nearby.

Great location and lovely cottage for two people. Bed, shower and kitchen all good. Ceres is well located for some local walks or driving to surrounding costal villages and Towns. Or a slightly longer drive into the Perth area.

Peaceful Cottage

We had a lovely short break at Well Cottage in Ceres. The property was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owners gave us a warm welcome. Well Cottage is located in beautiful surroundings with everything you need close to hand. It is an ideal location to visit St. Andrews, Cupar and many other charming areas of Scotland.

Bill & Lesley should be rightly proud of their little cottage. It is immaculate. The location is ideal for exploring the Kingdom of Fife, with the village of Ceres itself having all you need - butcher, convenience store and the pub. The cottage also has everything you need, even an iPod dock. The bed was king sized and very comfortable; the kitchen had all the appliances you need for a comfortable self-catering few days, or longer. We had a wonderfully relaxing five days. Thank you.
