We very much enjoyed our stay! A well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for our family to sleep, eat and relax! Everything was great and we had wonderful communication with the hosts!

Beautiful Retreat

The Blue Bird's nest was such a perfect spot for our family of 5. We did lots of sight seeing during the day, but loved coming back to a picturesque spot to relax in the evenings. Such a beautiful property, off the main roads, fully stocked apartment, and wonderful accommodating hosts! Would definitely stay again!

Weekend trip

The place was great for my family and I. The bedrooms were great size and kitchen met all our needs. The cabin is a bit tucked was exactly what we wanted and only minutes away from downtown to your town fix. Owner very nice and respectful.

Very nice and clean

We really enjoyed this Private apartment. The property owner was very nice and helpful. The private fire pit and spacious outdoor space was a nice surprise. Great Custer location served us well as a Basecamp for all the incredible places to see in and around the Black Hills.

Perfect location and amenities

Stayed with a friend and used it as a base for exploring the Black Hills and Badlands over four days. Incredibly convenient and central location while safely and quietly located in a quiet neighborhood, just minutes from Custer. The property is gorgeous and the amenities were all as described with generously proportioned rooms. We were very pleased with our entire stay and would recommend highly.

You can see Crazy Horse from the hill on this property! Close to Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Very clean and new construction. Great hosts.

Nearly new, well maintained apartment above owner’s new garage. Interior so warm, welcoming, large; comfy bed. Well supplied kitchen with nice new appliances. Quiet—about 2 miles out away from Custer, yet close to anttractions. Owners friendly and hospitable.

Blue Bird Nest in the Woods

The Blue Bird Nest cabin was the perfect choice for us. It was clean and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen where we cooked our meals each night after a day of hiking the various trails in Custer State Park. The views from the cabin are picturesque and we saw lots of dear in the area. The owners live on the property, but gave us complete privacy and were available by text if we needed anything (which we didn’t). The town of Custer is a few miles away and has lots of nice restaurants and a supermarket. By the end of our stay, we felt like this cabin in the woods gave us the complete experience.

Nice place in a beautiful area. Reached out several times to get check in information as requested on the site and never received a response. Had to call and leave a message and finally got a return call with our check in information. Created a stressful situation since we had been traveling and needed this info to plan our timeline.

Beautiful property!

This apartment is set in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by the best Black Hills hillsides. The kids found plenty of fun on the rocks and hillside surrounding the cabin. You are technically right beside the property owner, but you feel miles away from civilization with an entrance that opens facing away from the homeowner's home. The house is clean, easy to use, and had plenty of room for our family of four. The property owners were available when needed and were friendly to chat with. We hope to make it back again someday!
