This place is fantastic! It was perfect for this family of four. The beauty and quiet were unbelievable. The stars shine so bright and the bonfire and s'mores kit was a hit with the kids. Our hosts were fantastic and provided several recommendations to make our trip easier. The beds were comfy, the place was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make it like home.

The home was immaculate. Situated on a hill, we had amazing views of both the sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed the visiting deer, rabbits and even an eagle!Doug and Debbie were the perfect hosts and even shared some fresh tomatoes from their garden.!Couldn't ask for a better place to stay!

AMAZING!!!! Would recommend it to anyone needing a cozy, quiet getaway.The hosts are available if needed and out of sight and hidden when not needed. I would encourage anyone to book this place if staying in South Dakota!!

Enjoying Nature in the Black Hills

My husband and I really enjoyed our 3 nights at Argyle Acres. It was clean, comfortable and very peaceful. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the deck watching the sunset, the clouds roll in and especially stargazing. The little resident bunnies were adorable as well. During our visit to the Black Hills we made two trips to the Wildlife Loop Road in Custer. Saw the buffalo, bighorn sheep, pronghorns, prairie dogs and the herd of wild burros many with new babies by their sides. Drove Iron Mountain Road and the Needles Highway. Visited Mt. Rushmore, wandered around the town of Custer. Ate at the Custer Wolf and Buglin' Bull (yummy). On the way our we saw twin whitetail fawns and a mama deer and a mule deer on the side of the road. Beautiful.

This place is perfect for a quiet country setting. Spotlessly clean, everything we needed along with a sweet welcome card and snacks.. If you don't want to be in the middle of the city, THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE! We loved watching the bunnies that live under the porch! Super host!!!

Family Vacation

We had a great stay. Debbie was very helpful and got us whatever we needed. I would highly recommend staying here. Not far from downtown Custer. If we ever make it back to South Dakota this house will be my first pick.

We were pleased with our accommodations. The cabin was clean, cozy and charming. The host communicated well and let me know pertinent info. The cabin is small but it was all my husband and I needed. Would definitely book this cabin again if we were ever in the area.

Cozy getaway

We felt at home from the moment we stepped into the cabin. Inside was wonderfully decorated and inviting. Very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The property managers were very willing to do what ever we needed to make our stay the best it could be. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.

Wonderful, peaceful home with a fabulous view!

Everything is advertised accurately. Very clean, comfortable, cozy and the owners are very thoughtful (sweet welcome card, available if you have questions, family games to available play, smart tv, etc). The outside seating area is great. The central location was great for all the sites we saw. I highly recommend!!

Perfect Plains Oasis!

We came up to relax & explore the Black Hills, Jewel Cave & Mt Rushmore without camping. This modern home feels like leaps up from clamping without the crowds of town and hotels. It was perfect! After a day exploring, we could come back and play games, make s’mores, cook our own meals (food allergies here) & sleep with fresh air coming in the windows in cozy beds. Debbie & Doug were perfect hosts. She replied so fast to questions I had when preparing, helped with some suggestions (like making sure to have a reservation at Jewel Cave & spending enough time in Custer state park). It truly was exactly what we were looking for on this summer breakaway! Plan to tuck suitcases away or lay flat & open under the bed as there aren’t closets but the space was perfect for our family of 3. Be sure to make time to try The Custer Wolf if you also have food allergies (or even if not). The service & food were 5* too! Thank you for such a wonderful place!
