Cute As A Bug Cottage On The Shores of Big Manistique Lake

  • Our 'Cozy Cottage' is the quintessential UP knotty pine cottage. Quaint and cozy and right on the east shore of Big Manistique Lake, It's the perfect place to enjoy all that Michigan's 4 seasons have to offer. Cozy Cottage is centrally located in the eastern UP so many of the favorite attractions are within an hours drive.

    If you're just looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lake, Cozy Cottage has a lakefront deck with ample seating, an outdoor table for dining, and a gas BBQ. There is a fire pit just feet from the shoreline for spectacular sunset views, and there is a stone fireplace inside.

    Cozy Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen that includes a coffee pot, toaster, crock pot, air fryer, griddle and Ninja blender. We have a Reverse Osmosis drinking water system so you don't need to buy bottled water. Full dinnerware is supplied. The spacious dining room seats 6. All bed linens and bath towels are provided as well as all paper products. You will need to bring your own beach towels.
    We have the Highline Fiber Optics so you’ll have excellent TV viewing in the living room and both bedrooms, and great WIFI for your phones and computers.

    We have a dock if you're bringing a boat and we are only 500 feet away from a public launch. Our lot is private to the road and there is space to park your trailers behind the garage. We have 3 kayaks available for guest use and we provide the lifejackets. There are 2 tubs of kiddie beach toys too!

    If you're visiting in the winter, there is a lean to off the garage for your snow machines. Groomed trails are just a few miles away. Ice fishing is right outside your door and dog sledding is available near Newberry!

    We love our Cozy Cottage and have vacationed here ourselves before we bought it. We hope you will love it too!

Had a fantastic time! Everything was clean and well stocked in such a thoughtful way. We felt right at home! We enjoyed kayaking the pictured rocks, rock hounding on Lake Superior and seeing the falls. Great cottage and hosts were extremely helpful with answering questions and suggesting great places for shopping and eating. We would definitely stay here again,thank you!

Everything I read and saw about this property was exactly as we found it. Beautiful! I could live here in a heartbeat. Cozy is the word. Chairs were cozy, sofa was cozy, beds were cozy. The lapping of the water was soothing. The birds, geese and ducks ... and babies were fun to observe. Loved our stay! Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with us.

This property beat our expectation!! We have rented cottages/cabins many times and this was excellent. Pristine clean ,and cozy. Bonus for us was the “steps to the water”, and getting to the boat with ease . Well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The ambiance helped the feel of being up north! The host was so prompt with returning messages!.town is a short drive and has all the things you need for a restful stay. The only problem was having to leave!

Beautiful Quiet Cottage

This is our 4th time staying at the cozy cottage and we just love it here. The property is beautifully maintained and located lakefront. It’s our favorite place to just come and relax.

We absolutely loved it. So cozy, everything is so well thought off, perfectly stocked with all kinds of utensils and necessities. Lovely view of the lake and great location central to explore the area.

The cottage lived up to its name, truly a cozy cottage! Everything was very clean inside and out. The lake had good fishing, easy access just 3 lots down. Would definitely come again!

Wonderful little place. Everything we needed and away from the traffic. Great central location to all of the outdoor activities the UP has to offer.

Perfect place for our UP trip. Easy access to some many UP highlights or a great place to just sit back and relax. The kayaks were a great addition too.

We enjoyed our stay here; the cabin was clean and well-stocked. Quiet area and beautiful lake. Good wifi. The host was helpful and easy to communicate with.

The Cozy Cottage is all it says and more!!! Beautiful peaceful retreat if you need quiet, fishing destination, summer lake fun for the family.....its the place!! And the sunsets are magical!!
