The cabin served our purpose but lacked some basic ammenities in the kitchen, such as a dishwasher. Felt leary that we had to depend on others to sanitize the dishes and utensils. The bathroom was small with no room to put toiletries. Didn't care for the gas fireplace. Seemed to put off fumes that gave me a headache.

Cute cozy place

My friends and I enjoyed this quiet cabin. It is not far from downtown Dahlonega at all. It was perfect for a weekend stay.

Nice little hidden gem close to Main St in Dahlonega. Convenient to state parks within an hour's drive.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cottage is small, cozy. Comfortable for occupants that are small, short in nature. Enjoyed the views from the porch. Cottage is in a good location -- high up from the main road and a short drive to Dahlonega. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Foothill Grill - the cinnamon rolls are a must (we got an order to go).

Just What We Needed!

Booked for an anniversary weekend. Communication with the host was impressive! Fast response times, lots of flexibility, and very fast answers to any questions or concerns. Host was super helpful. Cottage was exactly what we needed- cozy, comfortable and convenient. Would definitely recommend!

The best thing my husband could say about this place was “at least it didn’t fall down while we were here” and he didn’t see any bugs. The hot tub was hot and clean. The grill worked fine but needs a good cleaning. The place is cluttered and gloomy inside. Lots of dark colors. Very sparely appointed with the cheapest of everything, including toilet paper, paper towel, and the Chicklet size piece of soap they left us. All the kitchen, utensils and dishes seemed dirty, and we had to wash them before. There was even a cracked glass that was left on the shelf. No wine glasses provide in the middle of Georgia Wine country? All three window air conditioning units were dirty, and the lights were blinking to clean the filters. I saw a comment from quite a while ago and a review about the bathroom sink and it still is not connected to the wall. I would not consider this really a dog friendly place because there is no grass or place to walk the dog. Our experience on this trip, staying in three different places, learn to stick with the properties that are privately own. There is pride of ownership there. Not so much in these places with management companies.

Over priced/ Poorly constructed.

This cabin was more of a big shed that was remodeled into a residence. The construction left little to be desired. The floor was not level and the 2nd bedroom was an add on to the shed. The construction was poorly done and I doubt it was permitted. Bathroom pretty small & sink was not attached to the wall and loose, Big gap between kitchen counter and wall - not caulked. Lots of coverups. Just not what I expected .It did have all furnishings although none of it matched. The bed was comfortable and it was fairly clean. Fully Stocked kitchen. Some mold in the bottom area of the shower. Toilet paper rack hanging off the wall and there is a mildewed toothpaste cap in the bathroom drain due to the plunger being missing. I don't feel it was worth what we paid for the 3 nights.

The listing is far different than what you get.

We were excited about a mountain getaway. The pictures of the house were lovely and had the space for a family of 4 to spread out. The above picture is not what the listing had. The listing had a beautiful house with a lovely backyard. After payment, we were sent the address. The address matched the picture. Upon arrival, the number that the property is listed at 136, is now on a “guest house”. A family of 4 in a “guest house” that is on stilts and cannot be more than 500 sq ft is not what we signed up for. The number of beds were misrepresented as well. We contacted VRBO and they say they understand, but they don’t. They offered to buy us a blow up mattress after we sent a video of the place. They asked us to work with the owner. The owner does says “you must have booked the guest house”. I told him if a guest house was identified, that would have been a red flag and we would not have rented the house. I asked him for a refund, as we did not get what the listing stated. He became defensive and insulted me. I have screenshots of the conversation. This was a horrible experience and I wish that I could rate it in the negative range on VRBO and the owner or the group that represents the owner of the home. I expect better than this and hope that something will be done.

Charming and comfortable

This is by far the neatest property i have ever rented! It was so homey and comfortable. The hot tub was icing on the cake!
