Grounds are beautiful: gently rolling grass lawn w magnolia trees, mood lighting in the evening, complete privacy, & a deluxe home inside w wonderful soaking tub. Spacious decks, new gas grill & bright w natural light.

The best place to stay in dahlonega!

A beautiful place to stay if you’re going to be in the dahlonega area! We had a small wedding in the area and had a small get together at this location and it was perfect! Kathy is a great host! She checked in on us and made sure our stay was great.

Amazing place to stay!

Spectacular Christmas Location

Nine days here just flew by and we would have enjoyed staying longer. As it was, we attended a beautiful Juliette Chapel wedding, celebrated Christmas with family, and made shopping, sightseeing, and hiking side trips. The Christmas lights, tree and hundreds of other special decorations filled the granddaughters with delight. The superlatively well equipped kitchen was a cook’s dream. Thank you for a visit to remember!

Absolutely Fabulous! Beyond Expectations!

This property has everything! The kitchen rivals a culinary institute with every kitchen tool needed. The house is lovely, roomy and user friendly . We had a fabulous time meeting new family members brought together through marriage. The location was perfect for the nuptials at Montaluce Vineyard. The hostess Katy was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to friends and return again. Thanks!

The perfect cabin for any celebration!

We were absolutely amazed when we arrived at Katy J's. This home is beautiful and on a beautiful piece of property. There is everything you could possibly need for your vacation or celebration, from the dishes and wine glasses, to the pots, pans and baking dishes, all the linens, pillows, blankets and sheets and even racks of spices! The kitchen is a chef's dream with gas stove, two ovens and a large fridge. The owner's suite is stunning, with the most comfortable bed, an extra-large attached bathroom including a massive shower, large soaking tub and more closet space than you could ever need. One of the things we loved most about this cabin is all the large windows in each room, bringing the outdoors in. The porches in both front and back of the house are large with lots of conversation areas. We enjoyed having our coffee on the front porch in the morning and watching the variety of birds, including cardinals, mockingbirds and hummingbirds. Our interactions with Katherine, the owner, were amazing. She is an outstanding host, very informative, and a genuinely nice person. We could not have dreamed of a more wonderful experience and I cannot wait to go back.

Clean, beautiful, and comfy

We enjoyed our stay so much! We celebrated friends bachelorette trip and it was the perfect place for it! The pictures really don’t do this property justice. We were overwhelmed with our open, bright, and cozy it was. Katy was an amazing host, who we actually met, and was so sweet. I look forward to hopefully returning with my husband and friends one day! Highly recommend!

Beautiful home - conversation friendly

Many conversation areas. Many extra supplies, toileries etc. It was near 100 degrees outside so we did not get much outside time on the lovely sitting areas. There are four or five very nice places. The kitchen is beautiful and has coffee supplies. It is hard to say enough to do it justice. The owner responds very quickly if you have any questions.

The highlights of this property are the kitchen and the wrap around porch. It was just my husband and I but I can see this being a wonderful place for a larger family or two couples to share.

Such a beautiful and cozy home. So close to winery for wedding. The host was amazing and so hospitable she thinks of everything. She was easy to communicate with very helpful. I wish I stayed longer but will definitely rebook. You won’t be disappointed at Katie J.

Lifelong Friends Get-together

My friends and i were looking for a place to decompress, enjoy some wine, cook, laugh, and hike. This absoltelt fit the bill completely. It was very cozy with a warm and inviting living room open to the kitchen, perfect for cooking, drinking, and enjoying company! We loved how close it was to one of our favorite wineries, Monteluce. Every little thing was thought of to make the stay comfortable! We are planing another trip and are thinking how wonderful it would be to bring family!!!! Thank you, Katy J!

Beautiful home close to all the wineries

My friends and I rented this home as a ladies getaway for hiking and wine and couldn't have been more pleased by the lovely home and grounds right next to Monteluce winery. The instructions were great and the house and grounds were decorated for fall! It was so cute. There were note cards with instructions everywhere so you didn't have to guess at things and having 2 bathrooms was a nice bonus for a group of 4. The gourmet kitchen was beautiful and it would make a great holiday rental to cook a family meal in. I would definitely stay here again! It was such a lovely stay.

No sleep

1st evening: fire alarm goes off while I’m in a bath. Fire dept came and all. Thought this was a freak event so I decided to just.forgive. Next day: no issues. Last evening: fire alarm woke me up at 2am, so I drove back home 11hrs away on zero sleep. No partial refund was offered-I mean $0- despite the obvious need to get proper rest. I was so scared I put myself in the dangerous situation of sleeping 3 hours at a rest stop on my way home instead of spending that last night there. I struggled with leaving this review but my husband insisted it is the right thing to do.

Lovely home! Most pleasant stay!

Katy J is a lovely rental! The master bathroom is massive and I enjoyed the soaking tub throughout our stay. The kitchen was fantastic and certainly didn't feel like a rental. Katy was an amazing host, incredibly kind and gracious! Kodiak, the kitty that lives outside, was precious and added to our wonderful stay. We highly recommend this property to others and look forward to going back ourselves. Excellent location and super safe.

This is a unique, gorgeous, well kept and wholesome property. Beautiful surroundings. We recommend it and would stay in it again. You do need a car for transportation. Everything is 15-20 minutes from the house.
