The property is not in a good location. From the landscaping in the front to the alley in the back of the house that takes you to the garage. Overall, is was just ok. There was a dirty bath rug left in the Master bedroom bathroom. Definitely, better kitchenware is needed. The cost of the property to rent is much to expensive for what is offered.

Great family house

Me and my family came for 4th of July weekend and it was a blast. Pool was great and house was clean. I recommend this house if you are ever visiting Garland Texas

Great Space/Location

Loved space and area of this home. Believe many of the questions prior to renting were very invasive. Understand there have been bad guests in the past, but requested to answer many questions AFTER my credit card was already processed was interesting to say the least. Overall great home/area.

Spacious & Well-Appointed Home with Private Pool

We stayed 5 nights in this 4-bedroom home just off I-30 in Garland, Texas. The location is on a quiet street but with easy access to the freeway. There were only four of us, but this four. Edwin house has enough rooms and bedding to accommodate about 12. The house has a full and well equipped kitchen, but if you’re not in the mood to cook, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from within a short drive of the house. The house also has a private pool. We were there in late December when it was too cold to enjoy the pool, but we look forward to staying again during warmer weather. Our twins will be delighted to have a pool to themselves. Last, but not least, the rates are very economical. You could very easily spend the same or even more for a lot less at a hotel.

Mixed review.....

Management was very nice and quick to respond and flexible when we needed to make some changes. The home was conveniently located close to restaurants and grocery stores The neighborhood was a little disappointing and rundown. The entire neighborhood parked on both sides of the street which made it a little dangerous to drive down. The home definitely needs a good cleaning. The photos were nice but it was not as clean as it should have been. The floors and baseboards were especially bad. We did like the openness of the living area. It does have a pool which was a plus but it needed some attention too.

Great location with private pool

We loved our family get away! This is an older home and neighborhood, but the house has been updated and modernized and is VERY CLEAN! Lots of beds and rooms to give everyone their own space. Only 2 bathrooms, but the pool just outside the back porch is perfect for the kids to play while adults rotate showers. We used the pool everyday as it got perfect shade cover starting in the late afternoon, and even grilled hotdogs one night. Great location, only 10 minutes away from a great kayaking/paddle boarding spot in Rowlett (Kayak Instruction inc at Paddle Point Park). Also only a 10 minute drive to Rockwall which has many nice shops and restaurants. Our host was very attentive and checked up regularly, even providing late checkout requested night before checkout. If staying, be sure to try Babes and Scoop N’ Buns in north Garland. They will change your life!!

Good stay, one suggestion

Needed a place for my family to stay for a family funeral weekend. Not many hotel options in Garland - this house worked great. The house was clean and overall had no real issues. Good quality sheets and towels. We didn’t utilize the pool because it was cold but it was nice to have a garage. A couple notes - the beds are very low to the ground so if you have older folks in your group that is a consideration. Also, while there is a garage (which is great because the streets are very narrow and there are many cars parked on them), there is no way to lock the back door of the house except from the inside. So, if you utilize the garage or driveway (which are accessible via the alley) then you have to go out the front and walk around to your car, or have someone else drive the car from the back to the front, while someone locks the back door from the inside and then goes out the front. There is an opening in the fence to where you could walk from the front to the back, but it is not paved and as was the case during my visit it can get very muddy. My suggestion would be to put a number pad on the back door also. All things considered I would utilize again if necessary.

Fell short of expectations-unable to provide all details due to character limit

Our recent stay managed by Goldnest was disappointing. I contacted Goldnest about having additional guests & addressed all concerns before booking. I completely respect their rules & desire to maintain a standard of hosting responsible adults. Our check-in time was 4 pm. Driving from Houston, we received a message about maintenance work scheduled to ensure a comfortable stay. We arrived at 6 pm to find workers inside, who requested we wait outside. Returned at 6:50 pm, to find house filled with a chemical smell, wet furniture & carpet, flies everywhere. Dead flies in windowsill, dead bugs smashed on the wall, broken furniture, nonworking TV & kitchen outlet. Trash outside overflowing, attracting more flies. I reported the issues & received a prompt apology & offer of a nominal refund, citing the previous guests' mess. Our experience should not have been affected by prior renters. The one-hour delay in accessing the house, wet furniture & carpet made our first night unenjoyable. We spent the evening cleaning, removing dead bugs, buying bug spray, dealing with wasps' nests and unable to sit on furniture. We arrived feeling stressed & frustrated. I requested a refund for the first night’s stay as we couldn't fully utilize the house. Although I received a small refund (not first night rent), our experience with Goldnest fell short, & I urge future renters to proceed with caution as they do not care about guest experience. We left the house in better condition than we found it.

Relaxing

We stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect! We loved the house! The pool was nice and clean as well as everything else! It is a a very quiet and safe neighborhood.

Beautiful, clean house

Owner was so easy to communicate with throughout our stay, very accommodating for a late checkout. House is clean and modern with plenty of room for our family of five and two sets of grandparents. Master bed was so comfortable, and the kids loved the bunk beds. Pool and back patio were fantastic after hot days at the ballpark. I would definitely recommend!

Staycation with a nice pool

My family and I booked this home to enjoy a staycation with a pool and we had a nice time. For us, the home was the destination and we did not venture out into Garland unless it was to pick up a restaurant meal to eat at the house. The home is very new inside with fresh paint, mid-century modern furniture, laminate floors, and all chrome kitchen. The design was relaxing and clutter free. The pool is large and the shape of it is conducive for laps and exercise as well as good old fashion fun. We enjoyed the hammock and patio set outside. The living room tv is a smart tv and we liked being able to watch Disney Plus, sing karaoke and play MarioKart video games with our kids. I never figured out how to use the Master tv - but that's on me. We had a couple of hiccups initially but the owner was responsive and maintenance was dispatched right away. I would rent this home again.

Pretty Nice Place

Coming from out of town, Garland was not our first choice of location but it's a known quantity. Neighborhood is mature with nice greenery and a quiet atmosphere. The house is nicely finished inside and has plenty of beds in 3 rooms. There could be a better emphasis on amenities to enjoy the pool and outdoor space. More non-glass/ceramic cups and plates, grill, more pool seating, pool accessories etc. This is a feature of the listing and the property owner could definitely get more mileage out of it. Prop manager has this place running smoothly, communication available at all times however some of it is automated. An issue with the space was quickly resolved by a maintenance visit. Overall a good visit to Dallas and a nice place to sleep!
