“The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

“There were no disabled parking spots, only reserved ones for electric cars. I booked an executive room (112), and was surprised to note one of the windows looked onto the bin area and recycling, that has lights on most of the night and early morning noise. My bath had mould around the seals, and the bath plug had to be removed with a spoon, which dislodged more mould that floated in the bath. When I mentioned about changing my room before unpacking due to the view, there were no others...

We also had an afternoon tea booked for after our small wedding and this was excellent and so was the lovely Maria who served our champagne and made sure we had everything we needed. “I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. We could not find any faults at all with our stay...
