The beds were super comfortable! We loved the location and community. The beach was walking distance, we went almost every day. My kids loved the pool and hot tub every night. We will definitely stay again!

Fabulous condo in Niguel Beach Terrace. Very modern, comfortable furnishings. Well equipped in kitchen, living room and bedrooms. Great cabinetry throughout with more than ample storage. Loved the island for dining. Easy and fast communication with the owners. Highly recommend this condo. We will return on our next visit to Dana Point.

Location, location, location

Unit is great! Had everything you need for a enjoyable stay. The best feature is the location - across the street from the Strand, easy drive to Dana Point Harbor, main street. Pool and hot tub are nice too! We will be back.

Wonderful condo!

This is our second time staying at The Sand Dollar. Todd is very helpful with questions or issues. The condo is very comfortable and clean. Great location, able to walk to town and Marina.

Enjoyable stay!

We loved the open kitchen and living room! Lots of windows with great plantation shutters! The condo owner. Todd was very accommodating! We will definitely come back for a return visit!

close to ocean

Too bad it had no A/C, for it was really damp at night, and not much breeze, being on the first floor. Nice hiking trails all around the property, some towards the beach, others with spectacular view for many miles. Functional Kitchen. Need to get your own TP and paper towels.

This Condo is wonderful.The location is amazing, across the street from Strands Beach. There are a lot of stairs to get to the beach but we used that as our daily workout!The layout is very functional with 2 patios off the bedrooms and also accessible from the kitchen and main room. It was recently renovated and it is beautifully done, with attention to many details. (overhead fans that work amazing, self closing cabinets, lights that dim, etc.) The kitchen has new appliances and all the pots/pans/cooking utensils you need. The bathrooms are beautifully done.The condo has a washer dryer and closet organizers in each bedroom.The only thing we would change is 2 single beds in the second bedroom vs a queen and bunk beds, but that is just our preference since we only had adult children visiting during our stay.We stayed for the entire summer July, Aug, Sept and hope to come back next year for at least part of the summer.Todd is very accommodating/ good communication and even provided house cleaning twice during our stay

Beach Paradise

We stayed at the Sand Dollar condo for a month. It was truly a wonderful experience and we will definitely return. From the beginning, Todd was a great communicator and responded quickly to inquiries. When had an issue with the door lock, he immediately contacted the handy man, who was there to fix it very soon. The property itself was perfect! The condo unit was clean, tastefully furnished, with a well equipped kitchen with some spices, and beach chairs and toys. The grounds are also beautiful and the swimming pool offers a nice area to soak up some sun and read a book. The condo is right across the street from the beach (we walked there almost everyday and enjoyed many a sunset), within walking distance to the Lantern District and a short drive to Dana Point Harbor. The area offers so many things to do--Catalina Island, shopping and eating at the harbor, hikes at Crystal Cove state park north of Laguna Beach, and trips to historic towns of San Juan Capistrano (don't miss touring the old mission) and Old Town in San Diego. We also took day trips to the beautiful Channel Islands National Park and Joshua Tree National Park. We didn't want to leave Dana Point and our condo--it was so lovely and relaxing. Everyone was very nice, friendly, and helpful. A great spring get-away for us.

A Wonderful Vacation

My husband and I had the best time at the Sand Dollar. The condo was clean and very well equipped. The location, so close to The Strands Beach, was ideal. The owner, Todd, was available if we needed him, but all went well. I would definitely recommend this property. We hope to return next year.

Monarch Beach Stay

Such an amazing stay! Words cannot describe how great the place itself was and literally right across the street from the beach. Todd was a great host and his response time to any of our questions was so quick. This place has everything thing you need and being able to stay at this wonderful home was a privilege. We are definitely going to be back! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and peaceful home with us!

Dana Point at its finest.

Just as advertised but in reality much better...perfect location and an accommodation worth of five stars.....comfortable, accessible and with every amenity.

For the area (Dana Point, CA.) this property is perfectly located, thoughtfully equipped, welcoming and clean. Having just completed a 6 week rental (Feb. 1-Mar. 15), we recommend it highly!

Cozy and nicely furnished condo

This condo is tucked away in the interior of the complex and is quiet and cozy. It is just a few minutes walk away from the scenic overlook of the ocean and 10 minute walk down to the beach. The condo is very nicely updated and is furnished with quality cookware and plenty of eating and cooking utensils. There was one repair that needed to be addressed when we checked in and Todd promptly responded. He was very easy to work with. What a peaceful and relaxing month we enjoyed at the Sand Dollar!

Todd was fantastic as a landlord. Rented the place for my parents for an extended period of time. They absolutely loved the rental. Todd was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend.

Great place for a Winter Getaway!

We’ve stayed in VRBO properties in OR and S CA. Todd’s condo had a very well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, a convenient laundry area, a comfy blue sofa and lovely beach decor. It’s also close to restaurants, Ralphs Market, Trader Joe’s and Costco. 3 coastal access areas are located across Selva Rd. One of them is up the hill with a path and stairs, the others have a combination of stairs and sidewalks. You can walk from the point to the end of Monarch Beach at low tide. At the end of Selva Road you may see whales spouting, breaching and fluking from the trail through the Nature Conservanay area on the way to the Visitor Center. Another coastal access paved path will take you back to the condos from Blue Lantern and PCH. Two restaurants on Blue Lantern overlook the harbor. You can walk to Lantern District restaurants from the condo or down the hill to the harbor. A few blocks from Blue Lantern through a lovely neighborhood there is access to another walk overlooking the harbor and a small park. We took the ferry to Catalina from Dana Point one weekend, toured the mission at Capistrano, went to Borrego Springs for the Super Bloom and drove to San Clemente to walk along the beach and out to the end of the pier. Laguna Beach is also nearby. You can find plenty to do in the area if it’s not a perfect beach day! Enjoy😎

Great location -- great condo

We just spent a great couple months at the Sand Dollar while our house was being renovated. The location is ideal for beach access and convenience — just a short walk to see beautiful sunsets. The condo is very comfortable and well equipped with anything you’d need during your stay. Todd was very attentive and quick to respond to all questions or issues.

Sanddollar

My overall stay at the SandDollar Condo in Niguel Beach Terrace was AWESOME!!! This charming Condo offers all the amenties you need to live comfortably. The kitchen is so well stocked with nice high end cook wear and alot of kid friendly essentials. Being a local realtor in the area this place comes highly reccomend, Will rebook with Todd at the SandDollar agian! Michelle Mayo
