It's perfect place to stay for couples. We are newly married couple and enjoyed the stay overall. Good food as well.

Well not to be to hard on them, but the property is a little rough. Food was not very good and limited. No heat other than a plug in heater, which if it wasn't freezing's would be ok but it was and it took forever to heat the room.

Exactly what I wanted in the mountains!

Very cool hotel right off the main 'mall' area in central Darjeeling. The room was great with a heater and heated blanket. Beautiful mountain views. Unlike most hotels in the area this one seemed to have wooden floors and ceilings. We could hear kids running around upstairs but nothing too bad. Also the wifi range is very limited either due to the networking or the concrete nature of most of the buildings including the hotel so the wifi was unusable in the room. No big deal though - just have to go out to the lobby. Overall would definitely stay here again. You pay a little more but you have a premium location with very nice people and accommodations.

We were there in early February, had a bad time, and chose to switch hotels after 2 nights when management was unresponsive. Our experience: - The photos on Hotels.com show a much nicer room. Our "balcony" in the club room was 1 m^2 and faced an interior wall rather than the mountains. Photo taken with back to the wall. - The walls are very thin. We had a family of 5-6 people in the room next door and heard their conversations all hours of day. We could hear the pool table balls clicking at night across the courtyard even with our window closed. - The carpet and sheets were stained. Photo attached. - The room was exceptionally cold. They turned on a 12-inch-tall floor space heater when we got there, and when we were in the room we used it the whole time. Yet, even having it on overnight, our room was 55 degrees F in the morning. That was the best it could do. Photo of thermometer and heater attached. - They ought to add pictures of the bathroom. There's no separated shower so you run the risk of soaking all the TP when taking a ceiling or bucket shower. The hot water was hot, though! - The location is fantastic, walking distance from the main plaza. - When we told management our problems and intent to move, the receptionist said, "Oh, but there's no problem with the room, right?" This was his conclusion after hearing our problems explained twice. This is the first time I've left a hotel mid-stay. I recommend against booking here.

Very good value for money..

Very good hotel with helpful staff for families, though one needs to walk for about 10 min from the main road as this hotel is not approachable by any 4 wheeler. Views from the rooms are amazing..

Nice room with fabulous view.

Room was clean. View from room was beautiful. It's a walk uphill to and from the taxi stand..So people with joint pains, small kids be prepared. Porter is provided. Food is average. The shower has no pressure so bucket n mug it is. Negative experience, which may be a one off thing was there was no water at 3.30 am when we were going to tiger hill.

Poor value for money.....

The hotel was pretty run down for what we paid! The toilet was poorly ventilated and smelt of gas every time we used the heater....

Good hotel for short stay, could be better though

It's a nice hotel for a short stay. View from the club rooms is great. The hotel staff is very polite and helpful. The hotel is bit far from where the taxi drops you so be prepared to carry the luggage on your own or call up the hotel to provide a colie for the same. The hotel amenities could be slightly better. The room heater was not working in 2-3 rooms and had to be replaced and the condition of the utensils in the room could be better as well. I would rate the food as average as there was nothing so great about the breakfast. Overall a good experience.

Nice stay!

We had a nice stay at Central Nirvana hotel. The hotel was very nice and view from the hotel is mesmerizing. Food was awesome. We got a complementary dinner (They offer complementary dinner if you stay two or more nights). Overall our experience was great. The hotel is nearby of Chowrasta/mall area.

Awesome place to stay

Cars can't take you to the hotel but hotel provides facility of carrying the luggage to the hotel. It is away from the noises of the road. One can also enjoy sun rise from the valley view room obviously not as good as view from tiger hill.

Terrific View

We went in the last week of August. we book the Executive Club room. it was an awesome stay. The balcony filled with clouds and a view to die for. We ended up extending our stay and didn't regret a bit. Definitely would recommend to stay here. teh breakfast was good. The dinner options are good too. Must try their hakka noodles and chilly chicken. Yumm!!

Good Hotel near MALL ROAD

Nice and comfortable Hotel. Nice garden and good play area for the kids.Valley view rooms have great view. Pramila is excellent person and very helpful. She addressed all our queries and guided us well. Smooth Check in and check out.

Great location and a throwback in time

The hotel did not have our Expedia booking for our family for 2 nights. He attidute was curt and i felt i was in the wrong. They were able to give us 2 rooms for a night, demanded we move in the morning and come back to move our bags to another room at a set time. They would not help move our bags although we put them into the lobby after breakfast.

They did not have my Expedia reservation upon check-in and fumbled for a while, trying to locate it. Otherwise, great service, good food, fantastic views. Just a bit off the main Chow Rasta road, so you have to either carry your bags yourself for about .5 km or hire a cookie to get to the hotel. Lack of a main road, however, does preserve the spectacular views.

Nice location with excellent view of Kanchenjunga

The club room we stayed in was quite well appointed with a nice adjacent garden. But the service was terrible. We had to call at least four times to get any kind of service.

Hotel rocks..Expedia disappointing

Stunning views of the sunrise directly from the bed. Hospitality and food are amazing. Don't be misguided by tourist cars and guides outside, the hotel provides assistance at fair prices (you will be shocked at the prices quoted outside). Expedia customer support is disappointing, please confirm the booking with the hotel despite what Expedia says. Rude and arrogant customer support doesn't help either. But the hotel staff was kind enough to help us in our case.
