Trafalgar Cottage is a moment’s walk from Dartmouth’s unique town centre and the many river cruises and ferries. Blackpool Sands is the closest beach, a five-minute drive or a one hour and half walk away along the South West Coast Path.

The property is on the South West Coast Path so, simply step out the front door to enjoy. Take a short walk to Dartmouth Castle and Sugary Cove, or take the ferry across to Kingswear and visit The Daymark to experience the beautiful views.

Families with adventurous young explorers are sure to love nearby Woodlands, just five miles out, where all-weather fun is guaranteed. With a mixture of rides, indoor and outdoor play areas, and even a toboggan run, you’re sure of a good day out. Or why not step away from the shore and take one of the many boat rides which can be caught from the waterfront, with sights to see including historical Greenway Holt, the home of Agatha Christie, and a selection of nautical wildlife too, from seals to sea birds.

Dartmouth is an all year round destination hosting a variety of regional events like the yearly Dart Music Festival (May), the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta (August), and the Dartmouth Food Festival (October).

Nestled in the desirable Above Town, this striking white property with its curved façade and oak front door is a true gem, offering luxurious comfort and unforgettable views of the River Dart.

Upstairs, a light-filled living space awaits. Elegant herringbone flooring, whitewashed walls, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors frame panoramic views across the river to Kingswear and out to sea. On cooler evenings, the wood burner creates a cosy atmosphere, ideal for unwinding with a glass of wine while watching boats drift by.

On the lower floors, two serene bedrooms, both with king-size beds, provide peaceful retreats, each with access to private balconies and wall-mounted TVs. The first bedroom enjoys bright river views through large sliding doors, while the main suite on the lowest level offers a luxurious round spa bath with a tactile pebble feature wall, a stylish en-suite shower room, and direct access to a private terrace. This suite also offers flexibility to split the bed into twin singles (with at least seven days’ notice).

Walking distance to central town. 12 miles from Totnes, the nearest train station.

Parking:
The property has no parking on site; however, you can pull up to unload in front of the main entrance to the property. Once inside you can collect the parking permit for one car and head to the main park and ride located at the top of town. If the park and ride isn't running then you can catch the number 90 bus from Sainsbury's into the town centre.
From 1st October - 30th April the town also offers less restrictive parking measure so parking locally is often possible on The Embankment, South Town and Newcomen Road.

The main central car park (restricted parking times apply throughout the seasons) located is just a 10 minute walk from the property and can be controlled using the PaybyPhone App or alternatively, the Just Park app can offer local alternatives.

During the main season (May-September) the 'Park and Ride' offers the best solution with regular buses running through the day.

Children:
Due to the nature of the layout with stairs, we only accept children over the age of 5.

Pets:
Strictly no pets.

Mobility:
Given the property layout, we would advise it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or young children.

Logs:
From 1st November-31st March, guests will be given a starter pack for the log burner. However, we provide details of where to buy more throughout your holiday in the welcome folder/guide.

Rental Conditions:
Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and sign & agree to our rental conditions.
