The kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to prepare my meals.Very spacious refrigerator and freezer. I really liked the 5 burner gas stove. It made the meal preparation fast! The layout of the house was well thought out, everything just flows. Plenty of comfortable seating inside and on the front porch to watch the amazing sunrises!! This is a very nice place to stay.

Great spot before we headed to Cape Lookout for camping/fishing. Caught LOTS of mullet off the dock so we departed with fresh bait! Perfect location to catch the ferry the next morning. Very clean and nice spot for the night. Will return next year.

Excellent vacation

Loved the house. It is beautiful. Made you feel welcome withe the bread and pasta. House was child friendly. Enjoyed swimming at pier. Unfortunately the wind picked up and curtailed our water activities. Would go back again.

Absolutely breathtaking!

The view was everything. We could sit outside and look at and listen to the water for hours. It was secluded from the hustle and bustle, which we wanted. Very peaceful. We will definitely be back.

Just what we needed...

This house was perfect for our needs and satisfied our wants. From the interior decor and amenities to the perfect location. The fishing pier and dock are amazing and were used 24/7. We took the ferry over to the outer banks and had the beach to ourselves! The kitchen is fully appointed, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are like hotel rooms. The porch and landscaping made for a peaceful retreat. We had a blast and I totally recommend this home to anyone. Laurie is an amazing host who answered all my questions and I even got to meet her in person when she brought the crib for my grandson. It's all in the little details too, from the homemade chocolate chip banana bread, the pasta and sauce, and the guestbook. Well done!

Can’t wait to come again!

We had the best time here! We absolutely loved our stay - from swimming in the sound, using the crab pots to catch crabs, taking a short drive into Beaufort to explore, and taking the ferry out to Shackleford Banks. The hosts were great and very responsive with a nice little welcoming gift! The house is very well stocked with just anbout anything you could need! We enjoyed using the bikes to venture down to the gift shop just down the street. We have told everyone about how much we enjoyed our trip here!

Excellent Vacation Home

My family had a great time at the Core Sound Home. The home was spacious and very clean and neat. We had a ball fishing and crabbing and walking around the area. Waking up to the beautiful scenery and sitting outside on the back porch in the evening was great. We had a great time exploring Beaufort , Atlantic Beach and Morehead City. Such a relaxing and great home. Will definitely be back

Great Reunion

We stayed at the home for four days for a family reunion with our seven adult siblings and elderly mother. The home was beautiful and very comfortable to stay in with all the amenities of home. We had a wonderful time sitting on the porch watching the moon rise in the evenings and the sun rise in the morning. The view over the sound was amazing. The area was very peaceful and relaxing, and wasn't prohibitively far from activities in Beaufort and Atlantic Beach. We loved our whole stay.

Wonderful Relaxing Vacation!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Ferry House. From the moment we arrived, it was more than we expected and a lot nicer than other properties we have stayed at in the past. The key to the door was easily accessible, and the information given before arrival was timely and thorough. The entire house was clean and well-appointed for our stay. The bonus banana bread and pasta/spaghetti sauce upon arrival was a nice surprise. The bread was delicious! We loved all the seating that was available in the living room space. There were six of us staying for the week, and at other properties we have stayed at, there were never enough seats for everyone to sit around and watch TV together. So it was nice that we could all sit down together. I do wish there had been tv's in the bedrooms, as we had children with us, it would have been nice for them to be able to hang out in their rooms while the adults watched tv in the living room. But that is a small complaint, and we made it work. We loved the extras provided: deodorant, face wipes, soap, trash bags, coffee pods, and so many other goodies that were a pleasant surprise. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Ferry House, and we look forward to a possible return in the future.

Absolutely Beautiful Core Sound!!

Stunning, amazing, gorgeous property!! House very clean accurate pictures and description!! Please update about free ferry passes because those were not part of the original description. Lots of workers coming and going on property for landscaping it would have been appreciated to have been forewarned plumber came by unexpectedly otherwise everything was as expected would stay again.

Memorial Day Weekend

Enjoyed our stay! Thoughtful details throughout the house - coffee and good linens were appreciated. Spent most of our time relaxing on the porch and dock. Enjoyed watching the ferry come and go. Our son caught crabs and had the best time! Until next time...

Great place to stay!

We were looking for a nice place on the core sound to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. This place was perfect for us. It was clean and very well appointed. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the spacious dock and did some kayaking with the two provided kayaks and a couple we brought with us. The owners were terrific hosts and were responsive to any questions. The location was mostly quiet and good

Fantastic stay!

I am for sure saving this property in my favorites. Host had everything needed and very decorative beach theme. Kitchen loved the retro look. Coffee machines drip of pod choice. The view from the back and dock. Amazing view! Water like any beach setting is to be expected. Bring water to drink. That is common with ocean property. I will be back for sure!
