We chose this place because it seemed perfect for us and our small dog—and in many ways, it was. The location is great, close to Cassano’s and Coco’s, and the unit itself is clean, well-equipped with WiFi, complimentary drinks, and basic cooking utensils.However, what ultimately prevented us from staying was a very strong and unpleasant smell inside the unit. It was overwhelming and lingered on our clothes, similar to mothballs. According to Evolve, this was due to annual pest (moth) maintenance, but the odor was simply too strong for us to tolerate—especially since I have asthma.We only stayed for one night and had to check out the same day because of this issue. It’s unfortunate because otherwise, the place would have been a great fit for us.We contacted Evolve, and while they were responsive and acknowledged the issue, we are still waiting for the refund despite being told that the owner agreed to process it. There was also another review mentioning the same smell concern, so this may be an ongoing issue.Overall, the unit itself is clean and in a good location, but the strong odor made it unlivable for us, and the delay in the refund has been disappointing.I will update this review once we receive the refund.
