I am requesting a refund for this stay because the condition of the unit was far below what was advertised and it significantly affected my experience.
The biggest issue was in the main bedroom. On the first and last nights, we heard constant scratching, running, and loud movement inside the ceiling, apparently caused by rodents or other animals. The noise was so strong that it felt as if the animals might fall through the ceiling onto the bed. Because of this, I was unable to rest properly. This was extremely uncomfortable and stressful. The next morning, I noticed visible gaps near the kitchen window where the ceiling meets the wall, which appeared to be possible entry points for the animals.
The overall condition of the unit was also disappointing. The property did not match the quality shown in the listing photos. The unit had a musty smell upon entering, and it felt old and poorly maintained. The front door showed visible patchwork repairs, and several areas gave the impression of neglect.
The kitchen was also not in good condition. The cabinet doors had damaged woodwork, and the area overall did not look well maintained. The visible damage and poor presentation made the unit feel very different from what had been advertised.
In addition, the cleanliness of the exterior areas around the unit was poor. The stairwell had leaves scattered around, and the floors appeared not to have been cleaned.
